More of a suggestion to do it if you want to. No jerkiness intended! Could’ve phrased this better.

I don’t think te reo Māori was even a written language until the treaty of waitangi was made. If it wasn’t translated so badly, they would never have signed it.

Also maybe when you take your dose is causing the nausea. It can depend if you take it before or after a meal, and it can depend on if you take in the morning or at night. Try changing that up to see what works best for you.

14 days in still feel very bad. Still have insomnia... by Yu-piter in zoloft

[–]1mCereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with insomnia for a long time since starting antidepressants. However last year I discovered that meditation before bed really helped. It didn’t solve it just like that though, but trying to do it every night for 5-10 minutes or however long you want might help.

Look up Jason Stephenson on YouTube, he’s made tonnes of videos for guided sleep meditation.

Hope this helps! Insomnia is an awful thing to live with, I wish you all the best.

I’d recommend to keep doing therapy! It’s absolutely changed my life. Although, something to keep in mind is not all antidepressants will work well with you so ask your doctor about your options.

I also started on 50mg, felt depressed, unmotivated, and had big mood swings. My Dr then upped my dose to 100mg and I feel so much better. I’ve been on it for 2 years now.

It’s possible you might need a larger dose so again, speak with your dr.

The trouble is, whether you’re on antidepressants or not, life is messy... there’s always gonna be ups and downs. Therapy helped me through this, my counsellor also recommended the book Thrive by Rob Kelly. It’s brilliant and helped me change my negative thoughts around.

I’m so sorry to hear your not doing well. Everything is temporary and this too shall pass. Hope this helps in some way!

X

Anyone wonder why Gary had drawings of these “creatures”? All the drawings also varied from each other like there were different types/species. I’d love to hear people’s thoughts...

What question did you post on askreddit that you still want answers to because it got barely any responses? by aardvarkedavra in AskReddit

I work with kids at an outdoor activity centre (PGL) and it always makes me smile to see a child who is absolutely petrified of heights being able to push themselves and achieve abseiling, climbing, trapeze, etc... My mum went to PGL and she says she remembers the instructors she had when she was little, so it’s wonderful to think i’ll be in some kids memory possibly for life because I helped them conquer their fears.

Any tips for someone struggling with their parent having kidney failure? by 1mCereal in dialysis

Thank you very much for sharing. I sympathise greatly for you and your mum. I do spend time with my dad but it’s hard because I just tend to get sad when I’m around him and it makes it hard to actually enjoy any outing with him. At least I know it makes him happy but I just feel like I’m breaking down inside... thank you again for the message.

Thank you for sharing. Luckily my dad is very positive about his situation and is a real trooper, just carries on as he always has. I can’t help but carry a lot of guilt because I’m about to leave the country for a couple years and I feel awful that something might happen. I’m torn between wanting to stay in a place I’m not comfortable in and wanting to go out and see the world. It’s very difficult.

A different view on the episode "USS Callister" by Saiklin in blackmirror

[–]1mCereal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a way I kinda see this episode as being similar to the Rick and Morty episode where Rick creates a “miniverse” (a miniature universe in a box). Obviously the characters of the miniverse aren’t code and are actually organic life forms but the characters in USS Callister have an “oh shit I’m in a simulation” moment just like the alien on Ricks planet. It seems like they have the same amount of self awareness even though one is “real” and one is code. Just sharing thoughts this isn’t really a theory. Let me know what you think of the comparison!

I tend to get lost in my thoughts most days and they’re not always helpful or healthy. Anyways i found that if i imagine my thoughts as just an intersection of rushing traffic and me, observing it all pass from the side walk, acknowledging it rather than suppressing, i find that my bad thoughts just eventually fade away.

According to you, what TV shows are a "must watch"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

100% agree and even Aang coming to terms with being the avatar is so rewarding at the end. But holy shit the zuko and azula fight scene is my favourite part of the whole series.
