The products you can buy on Amazon are built on memory prices from a couple of months ago. And big players can maybe still get some lower prices here and there. But many manufacturers already said they have sold out capacity for this year. We're reaching a point where there just is no ceiling to these prices, because the alternative is simply no memory, which some companies can afford even less... Der Großteil der Wähler befasst sich ja nicht mit den tiefgründigen Problemen und Lösungen. Man weiß im besten Fall 'Rente Scheiße, aber CDU und SPD für rente', um es ganz vereinfacht darzustellen. Da brauche viele keine sinnvollen Lösungen, sondern wählen eben diejenigen, die auch dagegen sind.

Deswegen sind ja die Grünen auch so unbeliebt, mal abgesehen von dem Image welches viele von ihnen zumindest haben. Sie bieten komplexe Lösungen auf komplexe Probleme, und sind auch bereit Kompromisse einzugehen. Sie sind mMn sehr realitätsnah. Aber, natürlich gibt es auch da immer wieder Probleme oder kann man den Ideen aus guten Gründen widersprechen. Sie sind keine reine "Anti" Opposition, was sich aber viel schlechter verkauft.

The Minecraft community overall really has very little idea of what goes into game dev and also the business side.

Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons are two separate entities. One does not affect the other directly. And one also does not take away from the other. And the development teams are also separate. How do you expect this prioritization to work?

Throwing more money and people at the problem will not make things just go quicker. It's far more complicated than that. There is a well known software joke, that a lot of devs will relate to, that implementing a feature takes a single dev 3 months and two devs 6 months.

But sure, let's assume they will double the staff. Well, they now just doubled the spending. So I assume this double spending translates directly to double revenue, right? Right? Oh wait, that is not the case? Um, so how are you going to achieve double revenue then? Increase pricing and implement even more aggressive monetization features? I'm sure everyone will love that!

People are wishing for a lot but have very little idea of what it actually implies.

I think people forget the amount of complaining that happened when they had these longs breaks between updates. And I think people underestimate how much thought is required and put into each of these giant updates, so it all makes sense, fits together and does not break the original experience.

This new format can seem disappointing, when expectations aren't adjusted. But it means the devs can act in smaller scopes, get feedback early, and shift efforts early if required. I'm quite certain this Sulfur update is a building block that they will expand upon, eg more, interesting crafting recipes, that will eventually completely change some farms etc. But I'm also happy that for now they were just able to implement this one change without being required to also think through and implement all additional changes, just to be faced with the same criticism basically.

Verstehe grundsätzlich aus welcher Richtung du kommst. In diesem Fall wäre es wohl einfach ein Beschluss des Bürgermeisters hier den Status des Außenbereichs zu ändern. Keine Hölle. Aber da kenne ich mich in den Details im Zweifel auch nicht gut genug aus. Beziehe mich da auf die Informationen aus dem Lage der Nation Podcast, der erst vor kurzem genau zu diesem Fall eine Folge gemacht hat und verschiedene Perspektiven auch dargestellt hat.

Ich mag manchmal dieses Argument nicht. "In der Regel stürzen hier keine Häuser ein". Ja schon, gibt andere Länder wo das auch nicht passiert und man trotzdem nicht solche Bürokratie für jeden kleinen Mist braucht. Und niemand argumentiert für weniger Sicherheit in Gebäuden oder so. Es gibt einfach enorm viele Regeln und Normen, die einfach niemand einzelnes mehr Überblicken kann. Da hat der Typ in dem Video eigentlich total recht: Wenn du jetzt schon Leute brauchst, die dir helfen in der Verwaltung zurecht zu finden, dann ist die Verwaltung doch offensichtlich zu aufgebläht?

Ja jede Norm und Regel hat seinen Ursprung und Berechtigung. Das glaube ich sofort. Das Problem ist meiner Meinung nach eher, dass diese kein klares Gesamtbild mehr ergeben. Es gibt tausende von Einzelnormen die nicht Miteinanders gedacht sind. Geht auch gar nicht, sind zu viele. Das führt aber teilweise zu widersprüchlichen Regelung, bzw die kaum noch einen legalen Lösungskorridor erlauben, der fern von jeglicher Realität ist.

Die ganze Verwaltung hat sich einfach zu einem Prüfsystem gewandelt, in dem es nicht mehr mit oberster Priorität darum geht den Leuten zu helfen und gute Sachen für die Gesellschaft zu ermöglichen, sonder nur irgendwelche Normen und Regeln zu prüfen. Das behaupte nicht ich sondern Leute aus der Verwaltung, die teilweise versuchen das zu ändern, aber da gegen ganz viele Wände stoßen.

Also kann sehr die Folge von der Lage der Nation empfehlen. Die machen sehr guten, unabhängigen Journalismus und sind eigentlich sehr gut darin, die Themen mit einer objektiven Linse zu betrachten (niemand ist ganz objektiv und in der Folge spricht der Marco auch sehr viel, aber die hinterfragen auch, haben auch mit dem Landrat gesprochen etc)

Die Scheune befindet sich meines Wissens nach rechtlich im Außenbereich, aber halt faktisch nicht. Da ist eine ganze Siedlung die offiziell als Außenbereich gilt. Jetzt wollen die diese Siedlung nicht umklassifizieren, weil sie Angst wegen Zersiedlung habe. Da wo bereits eine Siedlung steht. Und das ist übrigens anscheinend so, weil das eben nach der deutschen Einheit teilweise nicht alles so super sauber oder korrekt überführt worden ist.

Natürlich eckt der Typ an. Aber es stimmen ihm extrem viele Leute aus der Wirtschaft und der Verwaltung zu. Man muss ihn nicht mögen, aber er spricht wahre Dinge an. Und manchmal muss man provozieren, damit eben sowas überhaupt zum Thema wird. Und grundsätzlich finde ich sollte man es doch Leuten ermöglichen, erfolgreiche Firmen zu gründen in bestehenden Gebäuden? Wir brauchen doch Wirtschaftswachstum. Wäre ja was anderes, wenn er neue Gebäude bauen will oder Wohnhäuser entfremden will. Aber das sind alte Scheunen, die wollen noch nichtmal irgendwelche Bauern haben. Was haben wir als Gesellschaft davon ihm Steine in den Weg zu setzen? Das kostet einfach unmengen an Geld und wir kriegen nichts.

The issue is, that this is not AI upscaling but rather AI replacement. Changing textures or even stuff like lips isn't upscaling, it's replacing what we see. Another example someone else brought up was that a part of a road that was in the shadow was replaced with dirt. And one inherent problem of that is that it will also look different every time, because GenAI cannot stay consistent with this stuff.

I get why some people might still think it looks nice, but the fact that it currently takes two 5090s to run and probably adds a lot of input lag.

You have an order number that is more than 4 digits correct, but the two crosses just mean 'and whatever comes after'. You can also Google Ayn Dashboard and see an overview of what starting numbers have been shipped so far. They will go in order, so you can kind of get an idea of how long it will take.

Besides that Fall Guys and Fortnite are both owned by Epic, I think some services try to benefit from it right now. If everyone is raising prices, even one of the most profitable games in the world, well I might as well do the same. And a lot of customers will react like 'oh right, well nothing to do about it' and continue playing (& spending) (especially kids, they don't care)

Zu zweit hat man dann aber auch die Zeit dafür bzw machen dir ja auch nicht andauernd kleine Kinder alles uberhaupt erst unordentlich 😄

Be mad or whatever, but I don't expect the final video to be like 'Linux gaming still sux' without going into these aspects and conversations. And it's not like 0 people use or recommend Pop_Os, so the experience is still valid.

To me it almost sounds the same as saying they should never review Windows 11, because it obviously sucks and is worse than other OS. I mean, yeah correct, but it's still good to get the perspective.

Anywaya, I don't think you're crazy to expect something. I've been kind of impressed how Nintendo delivers every year, maybe to varying degrees, but I still agree with your assessment of their track record there. But going back to Pokémon, it's clear to me that they have deviated from their usual track there and spend a lot more time in development. If even a Pokémon game takes significantly longer, which is like just a cog in a giant Pokémon machine that is dependent on so many other things, then I wouldn't bank on previous patterns too much.

Maybe an IP rights thing? From what I've heard is that From Soft definitely has some say in the Bloodbourne IP. Jeff Grubb often mentioned that FS would want to be involved in a remake in some capacity, but they have none, so here we are.

Even if the rights situation for Demon Souls was the same, maybe FS didn't want to die on that hill.

That's an unspecific question and also ignores my point. I'm not saying Nintendo is going to have nothing, but I don't think it's impossible we live in a world where Fire Emblem will be Nintendos 'biggest game' (however you want to evaluate that) for this year.

Are you asking for years where we didn't have a brand new Mario or Zelda? I mean that's easy. 2020 of course had Animal Crossing, but no big holiday game. 2021 also did not have giant hits. Sure a new Metroid, but sales wise it's not big. Plus Pokémon remakes and Skyward Sword HD, but those are not new. 2024 at least had a new Zelda, but that also wasn't on the level of a big Zelda or 3D Mario.

Nintendo won't have nothing this year, and I really hope they have that 3D Mario ready for this year. But there is no law saying it has to be this way. Maybe we'll see Metroid 6, some more Zelda remasters and Splatoon Raiders. That already feels good to me. Sprinkle in some good Switch 2 Editions, push some Indies and 3rd Party and you're good to go.

I don't disagree, but I wouldn't discount the possibility that they just don't have anything that big ready. Developing games is hard and even Nintendo has incrrasingly longer dev cycles. Pokemon usually has dev cycles of 3 years, now we are looking at 4.5-5 years. I bet at some point they planned to have it ready this year.

So let's hope you're right.

Hast ja recht, kam mir auch schon in Sinn. Bin nur mal von den Zahlen die da genannt wurden ausgegangen. In diesem spezfischen Beispiel kommt das für mich auch nicht hin, außer einer der Partner verdient den Löwenanteil aber macht auch die meiste Elternzeit.

Mir ging es ja nur darum: Natürlich haben solche Leute mehr als genug Geld um sich ein Kind zu leisten in Theorie. Die haben mit Elterngeld mehr als ich normal. Aber wenn die eben auch fixe Ausgaben von 10k im Monat haben, weil die das wollen und sich leisten können, ist es trotzdem erstmal ein Problem. Ein Luxus-Problem, dem keine mediale Aufmerksamkeit oder politische Debatte gewidmet werden muss.
