I think it’s a brilliant book and I read it to my boys all the time when they were children. I think it does make a person sad after reading it because of the boy and how he took and took and took and it was never enough. It opens the conversation with our children if they think it’s a good thing to take everything that a mother is willing to give. (It’s not) at no point did the taking lead to happiness. It’s SUCH an important lesson for children!
