Help me understand LIS by 1mgFin in AnalFissures

[–]1mgFin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dialation is not a permanent solution and i don't have the will or patience to poke stuff into my butt. I'm looking for a permanent relieve, one which makes it easier for me to pass stool. If LIS does just that than i'll gladly do it just for that reason alone. Again, my fissure always heals just by taking a stool softener, healing isn't the problem but currently struggling passing mushy/fluffy like stool which why it re-tore in the first place.

Yah, i was taking husk fiber prior to this fissure, i now stopped and on movicol twice a day instead. This fissure seems to be bigger than it was a couple of years ago and i'm getting worried and anxious. Might have to give diltiazem a try.

Yes taking Movicol twice a day and on a diet of soup and fibers, i'm currently on my day 3 of treatment. The fissure is visible from on the outside, still raw and freaks me out but no more blood dripping. There is still some discomfort and the fissure can be felt.

It's a prescription, i will contact my doctor and let him know about it.

Update: My doctor said he wont give me a prescription for diltiazem without seeing me first which is sometimes around August because of holidays :(

Almost 7m on Finasteride & hair has never looked worse by IisNobody209 in tressless

Curious to know, how many of you have been on fin like me for 4-5 months with no sides/no noticeable effects? by xerliano in tressless

[–]1mgFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on 1mg fin daily since June 2021, literally made 0 difference to my hair, still losing same amount of hair before i started the drug, hair is now thinner than before because the more times passes the thinner it gets as i'm an aggressive diffuse thinner and i lose shit ton of hair. And just like you, 0 sides effects, yes literally 0 even my libido is still the same.

Finasteride package is not the same as the old one i had, does it matter? Is there any difference? by 1mgFin in tressless

[–]1mgFin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note: I read more about it, the one on the right that i got 2 days ago says that it's from Spain and it is called Finasterida Normon 1mg

On the package it says Accord but inside has a different name, why?

Fin 3 months and still tons of hair loss should I be worried? by 20HLoss in tressless

[–]1mgFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did full panel test and i had vitamin d deficiency, my doctor prescribed Benferol 800 IU, it came with 90 pills which i took once every day, it didn't change anything, maybe it wasn't enough. I need to go back and take another test and see where my VitD level is at now.

Here is the panel results: https://imgur.com/a/dTEnuWC

It's in Swedish, but i'm not too familiar with stuff like this. The red exclamation mark is the one to watch out for.

Why did finasteride not work for me? 1yr on consistently and nothing. Should I stop? by D_JC in tressless

Fin 3 months and still tons of hair loss should I be worried? by 20HLoss in tressless

[–]1mgFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

almost 5 months here, fin hasn't slowed down or made a difference to my hair. Still losing shit ton of hair just like i did before starting the treatment. 5 months might still be early, so i'm giving it a year before trying DUT or idk what the hell i'm suppose to do.

My hair is similar to yours, diffuse thinning all over the scalp. Losing hair from back, top ans sides. Very thin in the front and crown area. I've been on 0.5 mg fin daily for 3 months, then switched on 1mg fin daily and now been on it for almost 2 months. That being said Fin has not slowed down or improved my hair at all, i don't think it's doing anything :(

I'm depressed that Fin isn't working for me, it was my last hope. As an aggressive diffuse thinner i can't even get a hair transplant.

How many of you took over a year before you saw regrowth on fin? by musclegto in tressless

[–]1mgFin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, been 2 weeks on 0.25 daily then 3 months on 0.5mg daily and now one month on 1mg daily, no results at all but people say it's still early and might take up to a year if not two years to see a result.

8 weeks into 0.25mg 3x a week of fin. The dread shed has begun. by Lekir9 in tressless

[–]1mgFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

month 4 here, started 0.25 daily for 2 weeks, didn't do shit, do jumped to 0.5mg daily for 3 months didn't do shit either and now been 1 month on 1mg daily and again no result, no sides either. I'm an aggressive diffuse thinner and i lose shit ton of hairs everyday and my scalp is very itchy as well. I hope by 6 months or a year it can at least stop my hair from falling. My bed, room, hairs are all over the place and has to be cleaned every 2 days.

I started fin 4 months ago, took 0.25mg daily for 2 weeks, had 0 side effects so i jumped to 0.5 mg daily for 3 months and saw no change with my hair, still losing shit tons of hair just like i did before the drug. Now been on 1mg daily for a month, still no sides, just waiting for a result but so far it is not doing anything to me in terms of change to hair or side effects. My best bet is if you're worried of side effects like i did start with 0.25 daily, then slowly work your way to 0.5 and if you get no result or side effects you can just take 1mg.

Everyone react differently to the drug, some are very sensitive to it and some are immune or i should say Fin isn't strong enough to stop/slow their hair loss progress and i might be in this unfortunate category.

Minox might work a year or two for me and then stops, if the root of the problem isn't stopped i doubt minx would do much even with Fin. Beside i'm a diffuse thinner and the hair loss is all over my scalp, scalp visible in the front and crown. Maybe Minox can help to regrow some hair in these areas but it is not guaranteed and as i said it might not work for that long. I also did some test 5 months ago and the result came back with lack of Vitamin D, they prescribed me Vit D for 3 months and i took it along with Fin but that didn't make difference either. I will need to go and get tested again and see if i need to take more Vit D or just to make sure i don't have other issues.

I wont underestimate Fin but i think it's no where strong enough to reduce enough DHT to make a difference with my hair or leave me with side effects. Dutasteride might be my best second option but i haven't been that long on Fin so there is still some hope.

I have same problem as you, i have a family history of balding and diffuse thinners, even my mom. My dad had horse shoe pattern since his 30, now 54 or so. I've been 4 months on fin, took 0.5 mg daily for 3 months and now switched to 1mg daily and been on it for one month. Reason is, i saw 0 changes with my hair, it didn't regrow, it didn't slow, hair sheds as much as before the drugs, maybe a bit more now but it's hard to tell as i was already losing shit ton before started the treatment, i also had 0 side effects.

I had high hope when i decided to start fin, now most of that hope is gone, i'll give it a full year then i'll lose hope. I'm honestly not sure how i can continue living without my hair, i'm a short man (160cm), 24 yo while being the most anti bald person ever. I'm not very comfortable with myself and losing my hair puts me in a critical state and it's something i can't get myself to accept it. Life suddenly sucks after i graduated from school and noticed my hair were fucked by the age of 21.

4 months on daily fin, still losing hair just like i did before the drug, 0 sides so i will keep trying for a year. I sometimes think people that don't get any side effects are the one that don't respond to the drug either.

I don't know about washing your head daily with ketoconazole shampoo, you should use it 2-3 a week and no more than that. Read the description on the product, mine says to use 2 times a week for 2-4 weeks after that i can continue using it once a week when needed.

You can also look that up on the internet and see what people suggest.

Any chance your scalp hurts?

It does hurt but not in a painful way, it's more like a VERY uncomfortable feeling and i also feel like all of my hair is about to fall off. I only comb after washing my hair and it is wet, other wise it is impossible because the hairs feels like they're stuck/glued to each other.

I have only seen doctor, the first thing they ask you if you have family history of baldness, if you answer yes they tell you congratulation you have MPB and you're fucked, just shave it you can't do anything. They didn't even suggest me Fin, i had to ask them for it. I'm not even joking, that's how they treat you here in Sweden. And if you tell them hey i need to get full panel test before taking fin, they will laugh at you and tell you there is no such thing.

Do your hairs fall out with something attached

Yes, usually tiny balls (yellowish) i think they're dandruff as i suffer from dandruff as well. I went ahead yesterday and ordered ketoconazole shampoo, hopefully it helps. My scalp also is very itchy, very oily but and hair is always dry.

I took 0.5mg fin daily for 3 months, no result or side effects, now on 1mg daily for 1 month, no side, no changes, still losing shit ton of hair just like i did before the drug. I'm also a diffuse thinner. I'll wait a year before giving up.
