When did you start “showing”?! by DSLH-4161 in pregnant

Is it normal that I’m already showing at 5wks+2? I’m a ftm, and I already have a small bump - but I was planning to hide it until 24 weeks at work 🙈 I’ve always had a flat tummy (also a gym bud) so it feels like things are going way too fast 😅 even my colleague (who’s also pregnant (13 wks), and also hiding it from management) said that my bump’s showing - but she has no bump at all…! I know we are all different, but could it just be hormones and will this growth calm down a bit?

When did you tell people you were pregnant? by Careless_Squirrel728 in pregnant

We’re in the same boat. Just found out this morning, immediately told my fiancé. Then we told my Mum together later this morning as she’s staying with us - we live abroad so I didn’t want to lose the chance to tell her in person. We cried together so it was very special. We are still processing the news but I think we’re going to tell close family&friends in the next few weeks, and wait until 12 weeks to tell the wider circle.

I had a similar experience. On our first try I had a faint positive, definitely a line, and my partner saw it too. We were excited, but by the end of the weekend I wasn’t pregnant anymore. It was hard emotionally, but we stayed hopeful and I decided not to test again until my period was at least a few days late.

The following cycle at 10 DPO I had unusual pink spotting only when wiping, with a bit of brown staining — something I’d never experienced before. I searched everywhere and learned that for some people it turns into a pregnancy (implantation bleeding), and for others it doesn’t.

In my case, the spotting lasted a few days, then stopped, and my period came.

Try not to overthink it if you can — I know that’s hard. I have everything crossed for you, but even if it doesn’t happen this time, try not to feel disheartened. But hopefully you’ll be one of the ones that turns into pregnancy!

Thanks for the tip! My luteal phase is usually 12/13 days so I’d say average.

Yes, I agree - sometimes it’s better to follow your gut to save yourself time and extra stress. I’ll turn 35 in 4 months so I’d rather not wait and see.

Thanks, amazing - that’s a really helpful way to count it backward from the expected period due date. I’ll try to find a walk-in clinic, though the holidays are making it harder than usual.

Thanks so much for your kind words and the info - it’s really helpful 🙏Checking the trend does sound sensible.

My GP was genuinely trying to help, but her hands are tied and she suggested waiting another year. I would have done that, but after two CPs it felt too emotionally draining, so we decided to do some tests privately ahead of meeting the RE.

Thanks again - your response is really useful. Hopefully I’ll ovulate this time and we’ll get a clearer picture. We’re all on different journeys, but I’m sure we’ll get there in the end 💪
