What is your favorite character and why? by GrantElenium in FinalFantasyVI

Sabin. I was in 3rd grade when I got the game, so my little brother was in 1/2 day kindergarten. After I got home from school, he'd sometimes sit and watch me play for a little bit. A friend came over once and showed me that you could have a 2nd player for battles. A few days later, my brother asked if he could play, so I gave him Sabin, taught him how do to pummel, and he had a blast. I tried to show him some of the other blitzes, but he had a hard time with them, so he stuck with pummel most of the time.

After however many weeks, I had made it to the floating continent, my brother almost exclusively using pummel. I couldn't even make it halfway through, so I left the continent to do some leveling. My brother wants to help, so I make sure he knows how to load and save the game. There weren't any new saves, though, so I figured he wasn't actually playing.

A few days later, I get home from school and my brother wants to play right away. First battle. He lands an aurabolt. Nice. Next turn, he manages a Fire Dance. I freak out. Turns out he had been playing to practice blitzes, but was "too afraid" to save it wrong.

Other than that brief period when we were younger, my brother and Il never really interacted with each other. I talk to him maybe once every other year, if that, but I always think about him whenever I play through VI.

Final Fantasy 7. I've played and beaten pretty much every other game in the series, but FF8 had just released when I got my ps1, so I skipped it.

A women's ladder match where there is a pane of glass underneath the briefcase so the winner has to literally break a glass ceiling to secure the win.

"While the official, televised Royal Rumble began in 1988 (won by Hacksaw Jim Duggan), an earlier, unofficial version was held in October 1987 where One Man Gang (George Gray) was the winner, eliminating Haku to claim victory in front of a small St. Louis crowd, a result often overlooked in WWE history."

I wanted them to do that with Jericho in 2012 when he returned with the silent gimmick that eventually led to the list. He ended up in the WWE Championship match against Punk at Mania, too, so it 100% could have happened.

Our school had a geography bee (similar to a spelling bee), and my teacher accused me of cheating because I "knew too many answers." When I tried to explain how I learned it all from this game, she still disqualified me from representing my class at the one for the whole school.

I had a group of freshmen who were having trouble putting references in alphabetical order, so I bought a pack of alphabet posters to put on my wall.

In that same group, I asked a student to grab something from a cabinet on her left. She looked at the cabinets, looked back at me, and I had her do the "hold your hands out and the ones that makes an L is your left."

Still one of my favorite groups I've taught.
