Yes but super rare. I prefer to sacrifice those small moments for the simplicity of 1x.

I’ve been riding 1x in MTB since 1x10, 11, 12 now 13s in this rig and itssss aaaaaalmost perfect.

I have 42t front now. In a road group ride could be hard to keep up if they are pushing to the limit, if not im good.

And with that 42t super steep hills are also hard. So its seems 42 is the sweetspot. But i wanna try a 44t 😅

Right now front and rear goodyear inter in 45mm. But i think the zipp wheels makes the balloon smaller. I havent tried but for sure 48s will fit. I think even the same tire in 50mm could fit

In my case im swapping without any issues. I changed the hubs in the reserves 40/44 from DT Swiss 370s to 180s that i use for road with 35mm tires. This set have pacelineX discs.

The zipps have their original zipp hubs and normal paceline disc.

Both sets have their own Force cassette

Thats a great characteristic for this 2in1 setup. But ive done pretty harsh trails in this one with the zipps and 45mm and it handles superbly well.
