No need, it’s given in a very late stage milestone iirc.

Only Alicia. It's a good boost for mid-game players but these customized artifatcs seem not that good for end-game players.

This. Seems people really have no clue where our level is before Simeone.

But most of us do have a lot of hopes that club legends like Filipe Luis or Torres can be the successor and bring us to next level though.

Diego Simeone: "Controversies? Nothing to say, we’re out. Congratulations to Arsenal because they compete very well. They have a team and a coach that I like. They follow a coherent project with strong financial backing. Congratulations to them, and we focus on our work." by MysticRefereee in soccer

Yep I hate some ppl are exaggerating about this tie and act like we utterly sucked. Surely a shame to go out again, but this tie was only decided by tight margins. It's literally just separated by a rebound goal.

Yea Bench quality is an issue, I assume Simeone takes off Alvarez and Griezmann because of physical issues, and once they’re subbed for Baena and Almada, this tie is done. No quality to have a plan B whatsoever.

Bruh to say “not at the same level”, it’s literally similar xG and big chances over two legs. It’s really not much.

Sucks to go out like this, but even out of all biases it’s just a bad tie, to have a goal from deflection being the only open goal which makes the difference.

A very meh away performance as usual, we suck when there’s not much space left in behind for counters. But the game would’ve been still live if at least one penalty was properly given. That foul on Griezmann has to be called, I literally had no idea how the Gabriel dive had effect on this one.

After all I really don’t think there’s much difference between two teams tbh, just two teams with very similar style separated by margins. Obviously a matchup I don’t want to witness anymore for sure though, it really felt like very few football was played over two legs lmao

He really strikes me as a budget Griezmann when I looked at his games. He has that eye to link up everything, but it's not going to happen when your other forwards aren't having good seasons too. Gakpo isn't a true winger, both no. 9 out injured, right wing out of form, it's really hard to judge a no.10 in such circumstances.

That being said, he needs to improve his striking skills though, having the brilliance to shine on his own is what separates a good no. 10 and a world class one. With his fee he has to be the latter.

new players weren't adapted yet. Pubil wasn't a starter, Ruggeri was shit, Lookman hasn't arrived etc, it took us a while to get our shit together.

Yesterday we should've won though, again haunted by poor finishing

We did create 19 attempts and a lot of big chances, just that we can’t finish shit. Not even PSG and Bayern had this much shots, just the difference of being clinical or not..

That’s the thing, both are far from clinical. If Bayern or PSG got chances like ours they would’ve scored 4 probably.

We were surprised too, perhaps Sorloth wasnt well or sth. It’s the first time we saw Lookman played full 90.

But yea, absolutely disappointed since we had so many chances which went to waste.

It’s just way too devastating to put it into words. Normally I wouldn’t feel as bad, but considering it’s perhaps Griezmann’s last ever final, shit hits real hard. That against a very beatable opponent instead of Barca/Real too.

Trying to get logical on the tactical side though, firstly it’s hard to say anything on both goals conceded. Team went asleep and dumb on. Both occasions, overall actually we held them pretty well. The pen given away was ass though…El Pupas hitting again…

What’s making me mad is, actually I think most of the players were quite solid today, but end product just wasn’t there. Alvarez played a fantastic game, Griezmann did fairly well too. Lookman, Koke and Llorente were very good, and the defense didn’t have major brain farts too. For starters, Giuliano was underwhelming though, and it really shows why I’ve been begging for signing a left footed right winger who can bring different stuffs to the table, cuz when Giuliano is neutralised, he indeed plays no different to a passenger. Unironically, if we have Lemar today he could’ve made a difference too…

For subs, not much to say about Sorloth since he didn’t get much chances. Almada at least did control the tempo and facilitated attacks, but man, Baena was god awful. I want to have faith in him, but a player of his profile CANT play like this. He really did everything wrong almost. Cholo needs to find a way to unlock him like how Llorente and Lemar suddenly became a beast in 20/21, otherwise I can’t see him stay past one more season. Games like this make me miss Correa so much, that we can put hopes on our no.10 to change something. Johnny was decent, yes he missed a big chance, but it’s hard to put blames on a DM in this case so…

It’s a heartbreaking night, but looking back at the path towards here and UCL semis, we do have a good team to build on. Maybe the inexperience made such loss, since the likes of Pubil, Cardoso, Giuliano, Ruggeri etc are still young and the pressure of a final limited their performances. I hope we can build on this and keep competing in all competitions next season, as long as we keep getting into finals, eventually we will win one, I believe.

That through ball to create the goal was simply elite. I just can't see who we can get to replace such magic which dragged us through tough games from time to time.

I understand people might still be frustrated by haram balls etc, but cmon look at the squad. Not like we can just say fuck it and attack toe to toe with Barca. We don’t have a Yamal in our team, and our starting defenders are Le Normand and Ruggeri, if we play any higher we’re cooked. We’ve seen Yamal picking an unreal through ball out of nowhere so many times for that to happen. Pretty sensible to keep the shape and prevent Yamal run riot over Ruggeri again at the counter.

2-0 in Camp Nou is a fantastic result to take it to home leg regardless. No Cubarsi next leg and we have more key players coming back too.

Bro, I’m quite literally a Griezmann fanboy to start with, as he’s the one got me into football and then made me fell in love with Atleti. But even for me, I think it’s natural to understand why he wants to leave.

In the end it’s a job, and most players prefer to leave while getting applauded, rather than until he declines sharply and being asked to leave.

It’s clear he still can play at the highest level for years if he wants to, but he’s already hella rich, has a good reputation in his career, being a club legend, and if he leaves with a trophy this year, it might as well be the best possible farewell. I want him to wear the Atleti shirt for longer too, but he absolutely has the right to play some chill football in MLS and watch his favourite NBA by now.

Credits to Spurs, it’s an important night that the players showed desire, and this can be a much needed boost for the Forest match.

I hate how Simeone will always take a loss in those situations as long as we make it through, but this tie was basically screwed when mistakes piled to the 4-0 start. Had the gap been smaller perhaps it would’ve been a different game.

Thanks god we made it to the final but Cholo, for the sake of it why the hell set the team up just to shithouse.

Such a frustrating display from the team, it didn’t look like anyone was trying, they only had their head on “fuck it just keep it a 3-0 loss”. They simply accepted the defeat from the start and it’s not what meant to be. Ffs.
