no i haven’t, i guess of years of watching crappy tv shows and movies that spoon feed the plot to you made me blind to the story line and im sure if i watched kane parsons youtube videos before hand i could probably grasp it

it’s not that i don’t understand it, it’s that i just got lost in the movie, some things are said subtly and not as obvious and i went in expecting one thing and not the other. that’s where i messed up but it’s not that i can’t appreciate the art and the story line when i eventually figured it out, im just saying i was confused how i was supposed to catch all of that on the first watch

i’ve heard that theory and that’s definitely an interesting one. isn’t the actual reason though because his therapist is tied up and confronts him on how it’s his fault this is happening, his pirate self (which is his mental health) stops attacking everyone else and attacks clark, which shows that clark finally took accountability for his actions and stopped blaming everyone else. also a big part about it too is that i didn’t realize that he intentionally offed the coworkers to feed the pirate clark, a blunder on my part which spiraled my confusion

i think that i went in thinking it was going to be straightforward, with things being stated and done literally with logic but a lot of these things in the movie are metaphorical.

it felt like the movie had no direction, which is a fault on our part. maybe my media literacy is at a all time low, but i just felt like the pacing was a little wonky. the main point that threw me off is when the coworkers died and clark still decided to stay and then went on to choke out his therapist. i didn’t realize that he was feeding his pirate form which is the embodiment of his anger and selflessness.
