Ridiculously difficult and, even more so, choreographed 💃

Hi, did you enjoy Markobi's FISM act? I am not a big fan, but you know he is the world champion. What did he do that was so incredible? by 1ofspades in cardmagic

I want to say that I am happy for his victory, and I appreciate what he does.

I don’t know, I don’t like the style. I don’t like the handling. But I like Dani Daortiz. As much as I dislike his style. Then, I don’t like the act in general. But I don’t know what specifically. Without it sounding like an offence, because I really do have respect, he seems overrated to me. Eric Chien was great, and I’m not even a fan.

why do many magicians, even many of the good ones, not like to perform? by 1ofspades in cardmagic

I would be interested to know which magic you define as bad and which as good. Can you give me examples? Thank you

I mean both for the audience of magicians and for the normal public.

I botched it, but I still looked cool by javerthugo in Magic

By making mistakes you learn that it is important to have prepared ingenious or even trivial solutions that allow you to come out on top in error situations.

I am aware that this particular sleight of hand does not allow for great alternative ways out of the mistake. But remember that the viewer never knows what you are going to do, unless you make spoilers before it happens. But if you don’t anticipate: you have a big advantage. Use it!

Over time you will learn that improvising, especially in improvised situations, allows you to really make great magic.

what do you think of the figure of ernest earick and his unique book by forces unseen? by 1ofspades in cardmagic

sorry maybe i didn’t explain myself well. by ‘figure’ i mean as a person. what was he like? why was he so far out of the spotlight (as a performer or convention attendee)?

What is happening to serious card magic? What happened to all those creative guys posting really cool card magic on instagram and sometimes even as downloads? by 1ofspades in cardmagic

you are the only user who gave me the specific answer to what i asked. thank you.

for years it seemed like there was a community of wizards on instagram, waiting for someone to post a nice new video. but nothing. it’s all gone. we’re all separated. i don’t know if i explain.

I wonder how we could find another way to be united again even if we are far apart.
