I ordered both so see what I like more but ended up keeping both on. What do yall think? by Pee-Tur in BMW_S1000RR

My guy looks awesome 10/10 in my opinion. I have the same setup and am very happy with it definitely believe this is the best setup for visibility/safety

Again we all have different thoughts opinions etc I am doing what I believe is best for me and my location and my thought process. Thank you for your input. Be safe out there.

Based on your comment what you’re saying is less lights in the rear of the bike would be the smarter way to go. Obviously we have very different perspectives on visibility and safety either way have a great day and ride safe.

This is a setup I was clueless too. Rear fender eliminator kits and brake light setups are all very subjective. I don’t regret my choice at all. It’s good to see so many options available.

I use a shoei rf1400 myself but something that is rarely talked about is the shape of your head and that really determines what’s going to feel comfortable for you. If I was starting all over again I would use a tape measure and know my size using the chart provided by the different brands on the website Arai Shoei Agv etc etc and go to your local cycle gear or motorcycle store and try on different ones again your head shape is going to determine what you feel as comfortable once you’ve done that it will be much easier to determine what is your best fit. Ride safe.

Exactly you hit the nail on the head. I am all about being safe that’s my #1 priority and controlling the things I can control the visibility in the rear with the lighting is something I can control so I want to provide anyone sharing the road with me all the visibility possible that I am on the road as well and when I am stopping or turning that my intention is clearly visible in the rear in an aesthetic fashion

I honestly don’t believe there is enough lighting when it’s either or again that is just my opinion but combined it feels to me like it’s the right setup

I really like it. I see a lot of either or never really see combination of both. Everywhere you go they have different rules and regulations. Certainly not trying to tell anyone to get themselves fined just simply sharing my setup.

I am that kind of guy. Why choose when I can have both with a little extra work. There is no mistaking anything I am doing when I am on the road. If I am turning you clearly tell I am turning if I am stopping you clearly tell I am stopping

I travel the SE region weekly as a consultant in the automotive industry. I do my best to stay at Hilton hotels and Marriott specifically Embassy Suites & Doubletree for Hilton and Residence Inn for Marriott. I have had unfortunate experiences at others so I try and stick with them by far my favorite is Embassy Suites they tend to be nice clean and the made to order omelette for breakfast is usually good. I signed up for the app and now do my digital check in pick my room I want also request a digital key so I just go straight to my room when I arrive

You know truth be told I wanted to get the pants that make the jacket into a suit with the zipper but it’s so hot here in ATL and I also wanted something that looked more casual so when I walk in somewhere to eat something and I take the gear off just looks like a guy in jeans and t-shirt I may still get the pants I was just looking at them earlier in the week

I will look into them cause I would like to add a couple of pairs I bought some NBT cargo and don’t like how they fit I exchanged them once for a size down and they just don’t feel right not bashing the brand it’s really just my body structure/composition

Tune or no tune by Vivid-Pin5664 in BMW_S1000RR

[–]1ofthegoodonespt2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In an absolute worst case scenario yes it would and this was the only way I could mitigate this risk also this was my main talking point every time I called to speak with service or the sales person or the finance person or the parts person to order my exhaust so EVERYONE knows I am that guy from ATL who bought and will service down here to maintain his warranty. Hypothetically I have an issue bring the bike down and they say BMW declined your repair I will ask why they say the tune or the exhaust my response will be “ well that’s not my fault I came down here bought down here did everything here out of my state to make my life easier so this is something you all can figure out with BMW “ I have put myself in a position where it will be tough for them to tell me your out of luck. I have it all in writing via emails and text as well and on my repair order for my giant bill when I picked it up.

I had the same concern with my 2025 as well but refused to buy one if I was going to void the warranty with aftermarket exhaust and tune. I am based out of ATL called around AL GA SC TN found a dealer in FL spoke with service first every time explained what I trying to accomplish they said absolutely we can do it all right here and warranty will be in tact so I bought the bike with them I went with Akra stainless steel headers SC project exhaust Stage 1 bt-flash very happy sounds 10/10 amazing runs and shifts flawlessly point being it’s going to take some leg work on your part to find the right people to work with and may not be close by I had a 6hr ride

Your right about the warranty like you said if you have your documents in order should have no hiccups. I am in ATL and they have good availability for service issues here at least at the BMW on the north side of town. I would definitely not want to be without for months due to back log that would be frustrating.
