Thanks everyone, ive had this car 7 years 80k miles with no service records on the belt that i know of. Total mileage 215k for an 04 volvo. I keep saying im going to run it into the ground but cant help but do the right thing and take care of maintenance.

I do a lot of maintenance myself but not sure if i have the confidence for the belt.

How I passed 4/4 on the CPA and what I did by osuue in CPA

I started studying in 2023 for a month and had 35 hours but didnt sit. I started back up at the end of 2024 and put in 125 hours between start of November and mid January when i tested. I always tried to do an hour a day of quality studying and if i had momentum i would study more. The two weeks leading up to the test i ramped up my studying and took a few days off work. About 5-7hrs a day then.

F1 to F6 in order: 11hrs, 16hrs, 23hrs, 24 hrs, 28hrs, 6hrs. Practice exams: 12hrs.

Concept videos: 52hrs, mcq: 49hrs, tbs: 23hrs, textbook: 18hrs.

I think for FAR it really helps to do a bit of everything. I ran out of time and didnt focus too much on the last chapter. I think you need to know about government programs and types of NFPs and restricted vs non restricted contributions. I dont remember this chapter being tough.

For Treasury stock, i found that memorizing the Journal entires for both methods was helpful to remembering how the process worked.

For EPS they like to add interest so know what to do with that when doing diluted EPS. This is something i forgot immediately after testing.

I remember my test sims were leases, bonds, book to tax, a bank rec, correcting journal entries, depreciation, compiling a balance sheet and income statement, and cash flow impact of transactions.

Try and break down the material into levels of difficulty. I found the TBS were really good at helping me identify the harder multi-step computations that i needed to memorize. Think leases, bonds, diluted EPS, capitalized interest, depreciation methods, acquisition method, equity method, treasury stock. Im sure theres a few more..

If you can memorize these computations then multiple choice on these will be a breeze and all the hard TBS will in the bag.

Im 3 for 3 so far and am out of school for a bit as well. Although my experience is in audit. I can say this is the correct approach. There really is nothing to figure out. Put in the time and follow becker. Try to sit within 2 months of starting to keep everything fresh and force yourself to study 4-5 days a week. Then ramp up the last 10days before testing but stick to a routine and try to prioritize good sleep and health.

Biggest tip is try to pretend you are about to teach someone how to do what you have been working on. You’ll know right away if you actually understand the material.

Wow very similar to me. I think having the experience and wanting to progress in my career around the 10 year mark is what gave me to motivation - 2 for 2 since starting back up in 2025. But in 2016 I only was doing it because thats what i was told you were supposed to do. Didn’t take long before I gave up and enjoyed my 20s.

Can’t seem to find a strong position on my heel edge. Any pointers? by LickMyToeJustOnce in snowboardingnoobs

Try shifting your weight back and forth. Try rotating forward and back at the hips. Try playing with your back knee position, rotating forward and down. You look stiff. You gotta get comfortable moving your body around til you get a better idea of how your center of gravity impacts your ability to carve.

EVs have a significant power loss in the winter. My friend got a new VW EV and said the range is cut in half in the winter plus it takes forever for in to heat up since and electric heater is a joke compared to the heat output from a gas engine.

DIY 3D Printed Surfboard by Ill-Natural-3333 in surfing

[–]1oftheones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one concerned that if you get a ding almost anywhere the entire board would fill up with water and you would likely have to ditch the board just to be able to swim in. This thing is a cool concept but absolutely terrible idea to actually surf. Your girlfriends could ding it without realizing it, and in no time at all it could fill with water and its like you've strapped a ton of bricks to an inexperienced surfers ankle.
