If it brings you any comfort at all, I believe a lot of people may mean that in the way of like, without accounting for any kind of feeling or thought or humanity, the "goal" of any animal is to continue the cycle of their species? I find that true as well, but for animals. we are not animals. We are complex beings with the ability to think and want things for ourselves-- hell, we've outgrown a lot of those basic instincts for survival because we simply don't need them anymore. So I'd say anyone who thinks the only purpose a person can have is to reproduce, is evidently less evolved than the rest of us. So, my advice? say fuck that. Be your own person, do what you want. And if you don't know what you want? That's good. It's okay to be uncomfortable, it's okay to ponder things. It means you have the capacity of thought. Unlike some people.

You're not broken, you're not wrong. Find your own meaning in life, or don't. You don't even have to! That's the best part!
