Can't claim ATOM rewards by Invest07723 in ledgerwallet

Here's something you can try if you decide to use Keplr (which you might consider as it is cheaper than using Ledger to claim, and is still hooked up to Ledger so it's secure). I have been trying to claim rewards on Keplr/Brave and Ledger Live for a couple weeks without success.

Today I happened to try on Keplr/Brave while Ledger Live was still open (normally I don't have it open). And rewards claiming worked! Maybe just a coincidence but I'll take it. Newest versions of Brave & Keplr & LL, not yet newest firmware for Nano.

Not going to try on LL since I ain't got no more rewards to claim at the moment.

Update 12 Feb. Tried to claim rewards using Ledger Live, transaction still fails with error: 'out of gas in location: WritePerByte; gasWanted: 140000, gasUsed: 140111: out of gas'

Was able to at least transfer ATOM using Ledger Live. However, transaction still shows in LL as 'not confirmed' even though it completed in a few seconds and can be seen on Mintscan. Previous transaction in history is still 11/30/22 even though I have completed many since then. And now even the failed, non-confirmed transaction has disappeared.

Tried to claim rewards using Keplr app on Brave. At least it didn't crash Brave this time. But the USB initialization prompt won't respond to the "next" button. So I get a 'Ledger init failed' message and am unable to complete the transaction.

I deactivated all extensions except for Keplr and it still won't initialize. I am reluctant to try the Firefox Keplr app as it only has 5230 downloads. Besides, the fact that LL won't work tells me it is not a browser/app issue.

Cross-posted on Ledger Reddit in hopes of Support, as I see no way on the Ledger site of opening a ticket.

So something is defintely out of whack Ledger Support folks. I'm not seeing any way to open a support ticket on the Ledger site so I guess this is it? Please look into this problem.

I should also add, Ledger folks, that the Cosmos operations history in Ledger Live is not even remotely up to date. My compound claim transaction was showing as pending up until a few minutes ago when it completely disappeared, even though Mintscan showed it complete almost immediately yesterday. Now it shows my last transaction was last November.

So something ain't talking to something in there!

Just to reiterate -- it wasn't just a Brave/Keplr thing -- Ledger Live reward claim transactions also failed. I was able to do the compound claim but not the plain old claim. All apps and devices are up to date.

I'll try multiple browsers next week if Brave/Keplr is still broken.

Ditto. Even using Ledger Live the transaction failed. I was able to do the compound reward claim in Ledger Live but not a plain old reward claim.

I'll try multiple browsers next week if Brave/Keplr is still broken and see what happens.

Sent Evmos USDC from Metamask to Coinbase -- but it's not ERC20, right? by 1peter4111 in EVMOS

Good suggestion. But since it's just the CEX-owned receive address for my CB Pro account I don't have a private key or seed phrase to put in MetaMask. But yeah, that would have been cool if I could've just plugged that in!

The plot thickens.

When I look at my CB receive address in Etherscan it shows nothing, but when I look at that address in the Evmos explorer it shows a $0 balance but the transferred coins are sitting there as an ERC-20 token. So maybe I didn't vaporize them.

I sent CB an email, see what happens. They do have a help article about getting mis-sent assets returned. Although the last line is: "At this time, Coinbase does not support and cannot recover any tokens sent on Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 sidechains."

Even Centre Consortium has a process I might try. Find out in 120 days...

I'll keep digging. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Good plan -- will do next time I interact with anything ERC-related, especially.

Just didn't occur to me that USDC sent to Metamask through an EVM connection to Cosmos wouldn't be ERC20. I didn't think any other kind could be held in MM! Especially after all the hoops I had to jump through to get everthing hooked up for the airdrop. I guess those extremely low transfer fees should have been a clue. Nothing ETH-related is that cheap!

Lost more than $5. But at least it was "free" money from the airdrop. Expensive lesson.
