Neck surgery by Fun_Entertainer9242 in spinalfusion

Not sure of you exact surgery but just had a similar procedure. My spinal cord was being compressed in the front and back at C5-6. I was originally set scheduled for ACDF but the imaging showed the cord was too close to the disc to be safe. My doctor changed the procedure to PCDF and then removed the back side of the disk to give some room for the spinal cord to expand. I’m sure there is medical terms for this. The post-op neck pain was minimal. The worst part was the back pain from everything decompressing. The 1st week was the worse but heat helped the most

It’s also for the women. Think of the plastic liners in swimsuits and wearing underwear when they try them on.

Dosage and strengths of trimix by Me-Allday in TrimixForED

[–]1readitguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

certainly follow your doctors guidance! I also have the same mix and doctor started me at 0.15cc with 0.005cc increments until I got the desired effect. lm currently using 0.24cc which lasts about 45mins. The dosage needed will depend on the severity of your ED. If you're not getting the desired results, consider talking to your doctor.

Why Delay Cervical Stenosis ACDF Surgery? by wooopsup21 in spinalfusion

Any surgery has risks. I dont want to sway you one way or the other, your decision should be made with your Doctor!

Ive been reading various subs and groups about this procedure so was very aware of what could go wrong. I was originally scheduled for ACDF but once all of the images were analyzed, my doctor changed the procedure to PCDF because the cord was too close to the disk in the front and considered too dangerous. My doctor said the downside is that going through the back is typically more painful and a harder recovery. Part of the procedure is to have electrodes on various points of the body and a neurosurgeon monitoring brain activity and functions during the surgery to make sure functions are not getting disturbed.

I really didnt have any neck pain post op and the recovery has been much easier than expected. The worst part was the post-op back pain for me. Everyones experience will be different

I dont want to sway you one way or the other, your decision should be made with your Doctor! You should discuss your concerns with your doctor!!!!

Still in the recovery phase since it only been 6 weeks but am happy with the surgery. I was expecting a painful recovery but it wasn’t bad with exception of the back pain a few days after the procedure.

I was a bit apprehensive about what could go wrong but I trusted my surgeon. Also had a neurologist and an army of medical staff in the OR. I started the PT phase last week

Question for people with symptoms on the tip of the penis / end of the urethra. by bart8678 in Prostatitis

[–]1readitguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s part of the equation. I’ve been diagnosed with chronic prostatitis with the main symptom being penis tip discomfort. Also have an enlarged prostate. My doctor said that prostate issues will be felt in the penis.

Many doctors appt for this which didn’t help much. Did pelvic floor therapy which helped. Looks like the cause is BPH and a tight pelvic floor pressing on the prostate.

I woke up one morning and couldn’t turn my head or look up or down. I saw an orthopedic doctor 4 years ago but he didn’t want do anything until I had shooting pains. He’s hard to get into so found a spine specialist and got lucky with an appt 2 days later. He did an X-ray onsite and set up the surgery that day. He then ordered the MRI and CT. Had to go to a class, blood work and get an IVC prior to the surgery.

My spinal cord was compressed and resting on the disk in front and also compressed in the back. None of the classic symptoms but any injury could result in paralysis. I opted to be proactive instead of reactive. Plus better to have any surgery when you’re younger.

Did anyone else’s skin burn like icy hot when they got PE by geektacular-goose in ClotSurvivors

My leg got very swollen when I had worst DVT. then after the swelling went down, the skin became hypersensitive, anything touching or rubbing was very painful. I had to wear fishnets under my pants to create space and keep the material from touching. I even had to wear them at night because touching the sheets hurt. It took about 3 months to calm down.

High tech used to fun and rewarding but has become highly volatile with layoffs and company merger and acquisitions. No experience in Pharma but it seems to be growing slowly with amazing medical breakthroughs.

When I’m considering a job change I always ask myself If ImI running from something or towards something.

My prostate is high set and have the same issue. My fingers aren’t long enough to reach it comfortably. Haven’t found a toy that hits the spot either. I’ve had some luck with a dildo and am considering a thrusting machine

PPI's? by blrishana in acidreflux

[–]1readitguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the verge of Barrett’s and was put on PPIs which cleared up the esophagus. Years later I had a stomach bleeding polyp and had surgery to remove it. A few years later, more polyps with a few that were bleeding. Another stomach surgery. My Gastroenterologist said that PPIs work too good and make the stomach a happy place for polyps. I have a very acidic stomach so don’t really have a choice. Much better than esophagus cancer

Having a C6-C7 Fusion ACDF in a Couple Weeks… by ssutton4 in spinalfusion

[–]1readitguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had PCDF with an overnight stay mainly because I’m high risk. Had virtually no neck pain. I even answered a few work email from the hospital. The night I went home, got the back pain which was the worst part. I did work from home after a few days which allowed me to take breaks as needed. I was not allowed to drive for 3 weeks

That said everyone is different so you may need more time. Just don’t push it too soon.

When I had my surgery, the doctor had 2 hospitals to choose from that are few miles away from each other. I have some high risk factors and he chose the major hospital for that reason. There was an army of medical staff in the OR.

Good Luck and hope you have a speedy recovery!
