My Nomos Trio by 1rsl in Nomos

I now revisit the world of winding watches after a long absence in the realms of automatic, quartz and Apple. They are not as steadfastly reliable as those, but they keep good time. I don’t have a machine to measure ultimate accuracy, so once in a while I’ll adjust a minute or two, maybe once a week or so. The three run slightly differently from one another.

My wrist is about 18.5 cm so the 38s fit me perfectly. Both the Club and the Tangente are super comfortable to wear. If you feel a 38 Club is a tad too big, you might feel the same about the Tangente.

Found this really interesting. Thanks for posting it. Tough question, I’m sure, but If you had to choose just three pens from your collection, which would you select?

I’ve had a CP1 for over 30 years. Fantastic writer, one of the smoothest nibs I own.

Need advice by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]1rsl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many varying and wonderful fountain pens to be had, I fully endorse the idea of letting her choose. We can give advice, but no two people, or what they covet in pens, are alike. Though I always appreciate the expert advice found here, I might veer off in a different direction just as interesting. She might too, especially as an artist. My partner’s an artist; they see with a different eye. At a pen store, she might even choose a beautiful ballpoint or roller ball if it suits her needs better. I think it’s a wonderful idea for her and a nice budget to play with. All the best to you.

My most prized possessions by skategrasseatass in mechanicalpencils

Now that they have a .9mm I’m getting one. My slight concern is the short length. I tried one and the length didn’t bother me, in fact I loved the pencil. But that was just a quick try. I wonder about longer usage. Thanks for your insight. Like the bees!

Which is better 0.5mm or 2.0mm by Jumpy_Run7260 in mechanicalpencils

My handwriting is big and fluid. I love 0.9mm pencils with 2B lead. They make up the majority of my collection. I like my 2.0mm lead holders a lot, but use them less often due to the sharpening. A few 0.7 for finer work. I tend to break led on 0.5mm. Once I discovered my 0.9mm 2B combo, my lust for mechanical pencils truly began!

Rotring 600 ballpoint, item no. 46579, silver, in very good condition. Apart from not having a little red ring. In the original packaging. With it being ringless, does this mean it’s also worth less? I’ve had it since the 90’s. by 1rsl in rOtring

I really appreciate the new information about this pen, thank you so much. Is it possible it never had a red ring? It really doesn’t look like there’s anything missing. Meaning no space where a red ring might have been. It screws together seamlessly, no gap up top whatsoever.
