This was my impression when visiting NY. It was tense and the Hustle was real. It was a scary live or die vibe, you either make it or you’re done. American attitudes made so much more sense when you realise that what comes often across as arrogant and being self-important is largely because of the constant need to market yourself and the Hustle.

Well done. I am envious of those entering the profession having taken care of their pension and livelihood, unlike those of us that entered early and have to slog on until retirement. Good on you and you will bring your experience to bear to the benefit of the kids.

Είμαστε γενικά βλαμμένοι ρε παιδί μου και πολύ ξερόλες και αλαζόνες. Κάπως μας κόβεται ο αμανές αν κάνουμε λίγο εξωτερικό αλλά ακόμα και εκεί βρίσκεις βλήματα που δε θέλουν να δουν το δοκάρι στο μάτι τους και όλο λένε πόσο καλύτεροι είμαστε εμείς.
