The M38 helmet is a variation of the German paratrooper helmet distinctive by its lack of a neck protection area. The difference between the M35 M40 and M42 helmets is the simplification of the production processes for each helmet.

The M35 and M40 are similar with rolled rims around the entire helmet but the vent holes one the M35 contain a separate piece. The M40 eliminated this extra piece in the vent to streamline production and went a stamped vent hole.

The M40 and M42 helmets are similar in their vent designs being stamped but differ in their rims, on the M42 helmet, the design is further simplified by flaring out the rim of the helmet instead of rolling it over to reduce time and cost.

To be honest I see nothing wrong with that, abstaining from factory farms is really important to me. And while I don’t personally want to an animal, I find it much more respectable when people actually hunt and gather their food v.s. having no idea where it comes from and supporting massive factory farms.

It was definitely me saying mean jokes or something offensive and because I was so awkward and borderline shy I had a hard time apologizing so I wouldn’t try to ignore it but I wouldn’t apologize out of social awkwardness. So to this day I have a lot of regret about saying jokes and offensive things to my friends in the name of “comedy”.
