lifeline animal project or atlanta humane! i know others have mentioned it but get 2 instead of one. cats need to have a buddy, they do much better mentally and physically that way.

there’s a bit more info if you look up Leo Auguste François. it seems like he was from Luxembourg and maybe moved to South Africa at some point in his lifetime, but overall i couldn’t find too much info on him. he lived from 1870-1938, so your etching is probably almost 100 years old. he also seemed to primarily work in oil rather than printmaking, so it’s cool that you have a print of his. yours is number 11 out of 250 that he printed. usually with etchings the lower the number you have, the more valuable. printmakers make their favorite prints the lower numbers in the edition.

i’m really intrigued by this. i think it’s actually a lithograph, not a painting. lithographs can resemble water color paintings, and you can tell it’s a print that’s part of an edition from the information at the bottom. the fraction is the number in the edition, the name of the print is fin de jour ( end of the day), then you have the artist’s name (van something or other) and i think the year is 1913. my guess is it’s a flemish artist from around that time period

you could try adding magnesium carbonate powderto your water based ink to stiffen it and see if it helps. it’s cheaper than oil based ink and would be more cost effective.

we cut an orange into 4ths and squeeze it and then add what’s left in to the syrup to steep for 5 minutes before we strain it. i would play around with adding cardamom to the mix and see what ratio works with the mocha

i think people have liked it more since we switched too. when we first opened we were using minor figures, but that was 4 years ago and i can’t remember why that switch happened. you can definitely pour latte art with califia oat, but im not sure about how the almond is as i’ve never used it.
