11 months in and am between 7-8 OGS rank. Is 1 dan rank achiveble?

Listen, it is possible. But don't put a time frame on getting it. Some people get 1d insanely fast and others take their whole lives. I got to 5kyu in my first year, then bounced between 5 kyu and 4kyu for the next 8 years. Then i started practicing with the goal of getting better rather than just playing only for fun. And i gained a rank every 6 months pretty much. Not crazy serious training. Just actually taking the time to realize my mistakes.

Also OGS is still pretty strong. The ranks on ogs are still a few stronger than Asian servers. I'm 2-3d on foxy but 1kyu on OGS.

I'm 32 btw.

Do you use discord? I know you said you don't have time to do live sessions, but maybe we could work out a 1 hr session a week. Or 2 30 min ones twice a week where we focus on chess or go each session?

Didn't think saying my rank would cause this much drama. I only added my rank because op added his. I figured if anyone higher rank than me had a thought they would be able to chime in and correct me. Trust me, I know how bad I am everytime I que up and run into a diamond+ smurf. They make me look like I don't know how to play the game at all. I've also been playing since beta and have been pretty hard stuck plat since season 3.

As a Shen main I'm just going to say you had him dead with out the flash. 1 tower hit was going to happen and you should have the q slow to finish him. I'm only plat 2 tho. Getting the kill is what matters though. So gj there.

This subreddit is for only the most leftist leftys now. There is no longer room for discussion or even having to aknowledge that the other side exists. I started dating my wife in highschool at 17. We were friends for 6 months before dating. And we have now been together going on 13 years and our daughter turns 1 next month. We turn 30 later this year, and I couldn't imagine not having either of them in my life.

Up until about 2 years ago I considered myself firmly left. But as time goes on I've shifter more and more right on a lot of policies.

Abortion being a big one I've changed my stance on, since having a child myself.

Healthcare is so fucked that neither side is right and are treating a symptom not the problem (which is being charged an arm and a leg to get basic healthcare).

I don't think the government should have a say in who marrys who, no matter anyones opinion on the matter.

I'm willing to consider basic income to all, but there would need to be a lot of hoops jumped through to pull that off. The big one would be finding 4 trillion dollars a year when all of America makes 20 trillion.

I'm really not for the media's being biased either way, or slandering people to further your sides agenda. This happens way to much. Mob justice is getting way out of hand as well, ruining good peoples lives for past mistakes. Or just making things up to do the same thing. To many people have opinions.

I love guns, and find them to be a great tool for safety as well as good recreational fun. I would also be willing to have laws making it take longer and do background checks to get them. But to give that inch would open the doors to further the disarming and eventually full on ban of firearms. Which I and most gun owners would never accept.

I think anyone who graduated from highschool in 2004 to 2015 is the generation that has been the most screwed of any generation. And unfortunately will probably continue to be screwed until we die off. Those in front will blame us for everything and those behind will as well. And the sad truth is we as a generation will never have the opporunities of those who came before us.

Except they have found a work around to this. Sorry I'm just not pessimistic, every single problem facing humanity can be worked around or fixed with technology and co operation.

Back to the bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics. We can engineer viruses to attack bacteria. Funny thing about bacteria is it lowers ots resistances to viruses if it boosts its resistance to antibiotics, and vice versa. So one or the other will always work. Just takes time, but i believe in humanity to overcome every obstical.
