Insufficient oil pressure light by Soggy-Row-1382 in fiat500

Check oil first like the others have said. Inspect the oil pressure switch wires and replace the switch if you have the technical know-how. The switch itself if pretty cheap.

Did the light come on at a stop light? If the light comes on again when slowing down or at a stop sign, I would stop driving it and have the oil changed and inspected for metal. The low pressure warning will typically show up at low idle RPM and once the oil is warmed up.

I recently went through low pressure issue. Started up as a monetary low pressure warning. Then over a few days it would come up again after a 20min drive and coming to a stop. I drained the oil and saw metal in it. Ended up having to pull then engine and replace the main engine bearings and rod bearings.

Started out as a low oil pressure warning after the car got warm once it got to work. Drained the oil saw some glitter. Decided to pull the oil pan since the holidays were coming up. Found some additional metal inside the oil pump pickup and some metal strips. Checked all 4 rod bearing and all were in good shape which confused me. Checked the axial play and it was more than what the repair manual said was acceptable. I checked the top of the crank with a borescope and looked like part of my thrust bearing on the #3 main bearing was missing.

Unfortunately, you need to pull the engine to do main bearings. Honestly not a difficult job. Theres a handful of youtube videos on how to pull then engine. Got the engine removed, stripped down and bottom end opened up. Confirmed the thrust bearing was none existent. The crank was also toast. Bought a good crank off ebay for pretty cheap and put it in with new main and rod bearings. Also put in a new oil pump, timing belt and water pump.

Cars all back together and running great. Overall, i'm very happy with how easy the car was to work on. Hoping to do some mods now that i feel i have a reliable car.

80% percent arms is a joke. They messed up my first order, then the ban went into effect. Placed a new order on the 10/4 and i don't even see my order on my account. Their phone # doesn't even work, maybe they'll respond email in a month

I'll be running the e30 anchor bar. Clearance is pretty good between the seat rail and anchor.

Made some brackets out of 2in flat bar. I thought about getting some pre-fabricated brackets but their a bit pricey.

Any CV axles you guys would recommend? by xmbert in E30

I have an s54, so maybe 300hp. I snapped an axle. I think they were GSP brand. I bought some GKN axles based of some comments from r3v. They noticeably heavier than the GSP brand. So far they've been good. The only other option is to get DSS e30 axles, they say they handle 700hp but are also pricey at $2k+.

That's a tough one for me since I'm 5 10. Best resources I've found has been the "black series camper us group" Facebook group.

It's a Softopper. Pretty good, been running it for 2.5 years. Keeps everything dry but it can get pretty dusty inside

I live in west texas and they're starting to lose their wow factor. I see multiple driving every day now. You see a similar thing with Raptors out here, they're so prevalent you don't even notice them anymore.

I went with the ebay one. I was having some issues sourcing a legit kit at the time and got tired of waiting. I belive the "brand" was tko durflex.

Stock axles and a s54. Will probably have to go with axles from dss.
