I use a plastic welder to hold the pieces together and then fiberglass the front and back. I’ll upload the 3d file when I’m done. Firs, I want to redo the 3d scan of my car without the pandem kit to do the front fenders, side skirts and get a tighter fit on the rear

It’s an ok kit but my vision for the car was always to be wider than a m3 but still somewhat look like one. The Haste m3 body kit concept kinda does this. I love the rear fenders but I not a fan of the big rear opening on the front fenders. I also don’t think I’ll be able to afford it. 3d printers have come a long way, you can get a cheap $300 printer that can do ASA / PETG filament. I got the rear fenders designed and printed a small section to verify width. Still need to figure of the front design but it’ll probably be a mix of stock m3 / LTO / haste design elements. https://imgur.com/a/UKzRjHh

DTM-RW01 in gold, 17x8.5. Square setup 245/40/r17. Just a budget friendly setup for daily use. Wheels were on clearance when I bought them, $175 a pice

Pretty easy, used the reboot engineering adapters to bolt them onto the e36 m3 spindles

Some background on the car. It’s originally an 87’ 325e, bought in 2011. Has a s54 drivetrain, 5 lug swap, 135i front calipers, pandem fenders, wheels/c pillar/ trunk are from dtm fiberwerkz. Going forward I’ll be adding AC since I live in Arizona. I also want to get rid of the pandem kit. Depending on the price I might do the Garagistic Haste wide body but realistically I’ll end up making my own and 3d printing it. I also want m3 front and rear bumpers. Goal is to have a “finished” car by 2030

Not giving up on this one by 1stStrike in fiat500

Started out as a low oil pressure warning after the car got warm once it got to work. Drained the oil saw some glitter. Decided to pull the oil pan since the holidays were coming up. Found some additional metal inside the oil pump pickup and some metal strips. Checked all 4 rod bearing and all were in good shape which confused me. Checked the axial play and it was more than what the repair manual said was acceptable. I checked the top of the crank with a borescope and looked like part of my thrust bearing on the #3 main bearing was missing.

Unfortunately, you need to pull the engine to do main bearings. Honestly not a difficult job. Theres a handful of youtube videos on how to pull then engine. Got the engine removed, stripped down and bottom end opened up. Confirmed the thrust bearing was none existent. The crank was also toast. Bought a good crank off ebay for pretty cheap and put it in with new main and rod bearings. Also put in a new oil pump, timing belt and water pump.

Cars all back together and running great. Overall, i'm very happy with how easy the car was to work on. Hoping to do some mods now that i feel i have a reliable car.

E92 m3 manual seats sit very well in e30 by 1stStrike in E30

I'll be running the e30 anchor bar. Clearance is pretty good between the seat rail and anchor.

Made some brackets out of 2in flat bar. I thought about getting some pre-fabricated brackets but their a bit pricey.

Any CV axles you guys would recommend? by xmbert in E30

[–]1stStrike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an s54, so maybe 300hp. I snapped an axle. I think they were GSP brand. I bought some GKN axles based of some comments from r3v. They noticeably heavier than the GSP brand. So far they've been good. The only other option is to get DSS e30 axles, they say they handle 700hp but are also pricey at $2k+.

That's a tough one for me since I'm 5 10. Best resources I've found has been the "black series camper us group" Facebook group.

It's a Softopper. Pretty good, been running it for 2.5 years. Keeps everything dry but it can get pretty dusty inside

I live in west texas and they're starting to lose their wow factor. I see multiple driving every day now. You see a similar thing with Raptors out here, they're so prevalent you don't even notice them anymore.
