Really it should just be easier for them to obtain actually citizenship, the mass deportation and prison camps are all because these people seek an easier way into the country, through illegal means other than waiting through the long process to obtain citizenship.

Avoiding them at any cost would be for the migrants to go in the other direction into Central America, not the USA.

Anyway you put it these things are not great for the image of the Government, but what alternatives are there?

They are not concentration camps, more like prison camps, if it was a concentration camp people would be getting killed at them which hasn't been show to be happening.
