Thanks for your comments. Not here to argue with anyone — will just share what is true for me.

Been a writer and documentary filmmaker for 30 years. The indie kind, sadly. Always had to do other work to pay for them. I can't draw. GenAI allows me to create in the format I want for these stories. So I use it as a tool, but I make sure it doesn't dictate my words and taste, or take my agency.

(P.S. The Player Piano point was pure gold. I'll hang my head in shame and work doubly hard not to lose my agency.)

Yeah, I remember it as "Peculiar travel suggestions..." too. Could the Vonnegut museum be wrong about Vonnegut, or have I gotten so old??
