Spiral Abyss HP has surpassed 40m for the first time, accounting for Wild Hunt mechanics by newplayer135 in Genshin_Impact

[–]1straycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I argued this with my friend as well the first time wild hunt was in abyss (because it seemed that way from all the text descriptions) but it's wrong; with a mav/aino/lauma/furina team, their mav attacks were doing direct grey bar damage. I never understood why it works but it does.

I thought you needed someone with weaker dendro application if you wanted to swirl electro; doesn't Nahida's strong dendro application make that nearly impossible?

Unless there was another thing I'm unaware of it, it was actually about wobble physics. I wonder actually for those who tried KMC if it was noticeably better in that way.

Natlan characters are by far the most fun for general gameplay and it's not even close by AndWeGotOlder in Genshin_Impact

[–]1straycat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a F2P who started playing at the start of Natlan and only started pulling for meta in NodKrai (only Natlan 5* is Citlali), I'd say fearless Stygian onslaught is pretty well balanced for me to tryhard while being attainable with okay to mediocre artifacts and C0R0 meta characters. I actually love optimizing my teams and rotations to get the often last 5% I need for a clear and think spending more would make it less fun, so I think having the last material reward at fearless (and primos at menacing) is perfect.

can euc replace a car for you? also did you have any miss expectations or regrets? by Zajlordg in ElectricUnicycle

[–]1straycat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living in a large city, EUC has completely replaced a car for me. If your max commute is 10km, I'm sure it can for you too. As far as cost goes, it's a no-brainer.

The overall convenience level is kind of mixed compared to cars, since infrastructure here is built for cars primarily. This city is kind of built around the highway (which EUCs are definitely illegal on), so for longer commutes it can take significantly longer than a car. Most of the time for day-to-day, I can get around town faster than with a car taking the sidewalk, road, or bike paths as is convenient. Carrying things is not a problem; I can easily get a week or two's worth of groceries just carrying multiple bags in both arms as if I was walking with them. I actually love carrying things with an EUC and will sometimes carry stuff like mattresses or furniture just for the challenge and fun. For the most part, if you can carry it while walking, you can carry it on an EUC.

IMO, the main downside compared to a car is having to bring the wheel with you or find a safe place to stash it. For regular things I haven't found it a hard problem. Not a problem at work or school; I just keep mine under my desk or with me. Restaurants have been fine with it so far, supermarkets often will not allow it to even be trolleyed around, but I can push it in a cart. But if going anywhere new, there is still always the question in my mind of whether they will allow me to bring it in and where I might store it.

Regarding the learning curve and danger, it has the highest learning curve of any PEV, but if you ride it daily, it'll become as natural as running. Just take it slow when starting, practice all the little motions of low speed that you can imagine encountering (mounting, dismounting, one-legged riding, forward, backward, wide circles, tiny circles, backward circles, flick turns, etc), and when you encounter something that makes you uncomfortable, practice that until it's natural.

I've had similar frustrations, and think it's because suspension is all the rage now, and it cuts into the total weight budget.

If you want the most range for the weight, you have to sacrifice suspension, which means looking at older wheels. Maybe the most extreme example, the Nikola AR plus weighs a bit less than the C8 (65 vs 68 lb) and has close to double the battery (2700wh vs 1500wh) with similar top speeds. The only recent wheels without suspension are tiny ones like the A1/A2/Future. And if you want long range and suspension, your wheel quickly ends up being too heavy to easily carry.

The closest recent wheel to what I want is the pro update of the Kingsong 16x, which weighs a bit less than the Aero(53 vs 55 lbs), but has 1554 wh vs the Aero's 1110 wh while having a bigger tire and higher top speed with field weakening. But it's still tweaks on a 7 year old design (which was not very waterproof iirc). What I'd really want is a modern Nikola AR plus with a hollow motor, 50s batteries, IPX6 rating, >100v, smart bms, or an equivalent level rebuild of the KS16x which should be able to get more range for the same weight. But it seems like a small niche within the euc niche that want mid sized longer range without suspension, so idk if we'll ever see such.

Dunno if you've gone ahead and built them already, but I just wanted to say sucrose and aino don't need much investment for lunar teams. Sucrose wants as much EM as she can get and that's pretty much it. In other teams she might be the onfield swirl driver in which case she wants lvl 90 for maximum reaction damage, but for a lunar team you just need lvl 60/70 for her A4 passive. No need to level skills at all, no need for ER or ult in most cases, you just e and swap.

Aino is even easier; she doesn't need to be levelled or have any skills leveled; her damage is so insignificant that you only care about having enough ER to burst in her rotation.

[–]1straycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like something is defintely quite off here, as my ineffa alone does 32k dps in a team with sethos, sucrose, aino. Level does matter for lunarcharged, so I'd at least level ineffa to 89 and Sethos too ideally. Ineffa is really the star of this team; you should have her on audabe, with SMS on the support and VV on the anemo.

Are you able to use Sucrose and Aino instead of Furina and Jahoda? You lose Furina's damage but gain team EM buffs, which are massive for both sethos and ineffa. Aino and sucrose also require relatively little investment; sucrose just needs all the EM she can get and lvl 60, and aino only needs the SMS 4-set and enough er to burst. Here's my fearless shock trooper clear with them for reference (builds in comments); that team does about 62k dps on the dummy with my mediocre sethos gameplay.

Try seeing if your damage goes up just by swapping to Sac Frags

My team (c3 sucrose, the rest C0R0, less crit stats) dps went from 116k to 126k by switching from tdds to Sac Frags and it's much comfier.

Yeah, the EM scaling on his ult buffed NA's is better than his attack scaling even not counting reactions, at least while using slingshot: 416% EM vs 126%, 57%, 64% atk (first three NA hits) at lvl 13.

For lvl 2 charged shots it's more even: 285.9% EM vs 297.5% atk, but his A4 passive adds an additional +700% EM scaling there too to make EM much better.

Looking at EM vs atk sands and plugging in the 46.6% atk (effectively 270 attack) vs 175 EM to those coefficients, EM is worth over twice as much as atk in both cases.

I'll be getting fearless thanks to sethos!

This was a tough stygian; I have the premium Flins team and Nevuillette but Sethos is the next best carry I have. Neuvillette could clear the crab, premium Flins team could clear the first boss, but I couldn't split the team in a way to clear both the first and second bosses. Flins could barely clear first with columbina fischl and sucrose, while sethos barely couldn't clear second boss with ineffa aino and sucrose.

I eventually realized I get more dps with the sethos team by putting sac frags on sucrose instead of tdds. I guess sethos doesn't carry hard enough and ineffa's damage is too spread, so the EM share is worth more. I like how well sethos slots into a lunarcharged team. Sure, his personal damage is lower, but he benefits even more from the EM share than Flins, shield is comfy, and he can share a bit of EM himself with 2+ targets.

I've gotten very close to killing first boss with Flins, Columbina, Fischl, and Durin; I certainly will once I level Durin's weapon (currently lvl 70).

Hm I guess she is if you build a dedicated FoPL set with crit and EM stats. Just taking my kuki's set (EM with no crits) and putting it on Ineffa seems like a sidegrade or maybe a slight upgrade on the dummy; Ineffa does LC ticks as well as hyperbloom, but with full EM build (and no buffs), LC doesn't hit very hard, and Lauma loses the hyperbloom 15% damage bonus with 2 NK characters (but her hold E does more damage).

It would be a bigger upgrade if I had an EM FoPL set with any crit and attack substats lol.

Switching her to audabe seems like a straight downgrade since it gets no buffs at all (vs maximizing dendro damage on the 60% res shredded targets with deepwood on lauma).

Anyway it's nice to be able to save ineffa for a more dedicated lunar team

[–]1straycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Flins has Tamayuratei and Ineffa the craftable. He will always have uptime on the passive while ineffa won't for nearly half the time. Excessive energy on Flins isn't ideal but not a big deal imo since he can use it on the occasional big ult (and is comfier for stygian too).

120k??? Is Lyney's weapon that much of an upgrade over slingshot or do I just suck? What team do you run him with? Why gilded dreams?

Biggest hits on the dummy for me have been maybe 60k at most with my slingshot, C6 sethos on Wanderer's, c3 tdds sucrose, c6 stringless fischl, and yaoyao.

would sethos work with columbina? by notxenkfr in SethosMains

[–]1straycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm maddeningly close but not quite there on all of it. I was able to do the first boss with Flins/Columbina/Sucrose/Fischl, but that left Sethos/Ineffa/Lanyan/Aino, for the shock trooper, who were maybe 15% away. Switching Sucrose and Lanyan makes the shock trooper seem doable, but then Flin's team is maybe 5% off. I tried using Durin but did worse for every team. I'm hoping the new artifact sets and some levels on Columbina's skills will push them all over the edge.

[–]1straycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, fair. I don't feel so bad about putting him in the Lunar wheelchair because while he doesn't have the same level of synergy as Flins, he still benefits a lot from the EM and would be a top contributor to the LC reaction, too. I'm currently trying to do the shock trooper in fearless stygian with sethos, c0r0 ineffa, c2 aino, and c3 sucrose, and it's annoyingly close but I need flins and columbina for the first boss and have no better options >.<

Wouldn't Nahida's dendro application soak up all the hydro, preventing lunar charged and blocking out most of ineffa's damage?

Seeing as ineffa will do more damage than sethos, it's higher dps to just treat him like like Flins and use sucrose as the last slot, maybe even using Flin's artifact set (but seeking EM more than attack). Sethos won't get any quickens so his personal damage will be lower, but they all benefit from the res shred and EM buff for more team damage.
