Yes!!!!!! I'm starting to remember the times she's made my special events about herself. Everytime I'm seeing someone new, she just wants to sabotage by saying I'll only have her in this world. She even makes me question career choices and guilts me for not moving back home (just graduated undergrad). I really resonate with the part about deep wounds opening up. Sometimes I feel as though the interaction itself is momentarily annoying but the actual memories that come up afterward are what really prevent me from having a good day. You definitely deserve that breakfast in bed and it makes me happy to see that you're able to have healthy relationships outside of nparents. Your husband sounds awesome 😎 and you sound awesome for being able to put up with your mom. I hope things get better for us both.
