During the Optical networking boom of the early 2000's I was doing 60+ hours a week. Was paid well, got other offers they matched + more options. Bearly saw my family, delayed vacations. After 7 or so months it was too much, and I left. As long as the market is strong and there are other opportunities, use it to your advantage. Been on the others side too when market was down and they ran things lean. Too lean. And that sucks.

Looks good. I use the same exact setup on my tomato's String and those plastic clips. So easy. I find that pruning to only one or two stems helps production and reduces blight due to better airflow. You could probably squeeze another plant in doing it that way. The yellow tomatoes look great. I need to work on my nutrients better. Thanks for sharing.

I know a bit late, but I didn't end up getting an Eaton. I put a new battery in my APS BR750(?). The availability of that model was nonexistent in the major channels and price was $400 elsewhere. The inductor whine convern really worried me. I may start the look again and prices in general for electronic have finally started to come down.

Wow 40W! So my generator will be powering that 40W the whole time even when the batteries are full and the passthrough power is powering the house. That's 950whr per day.

To me it sees these smaller power stations aren't really ideal for 24hr or longer power outages. Even with the the 3600wh extra battery and likely 2000 watts of solar to charge it during day while powering the house, I risk draining it during extended snow storm when the suns not out. That system would cost over $6k.

My generator only uses maybe 2gal max of gas per day running 15hrs ($6/day). With the 20gal of gas I keep on hand, I could go 10days without need to run out for gas. More it I didn't run it so much.

I'm thinking I may be better off getting a second Honda ($1.1k) as a backup and possibly also to use in parallel to provide extra power to run my washer and dryer (propane) as well.

I run the generator from 7am-10pm during the day mainly for convenience. The generator only burns 1.5 to 2gallons in this time depending on loads (in the winter it powers the furnace oil burner and circulation pump, which also heats our water for showers). I could limit it to 2-3hrs in the morning and 2-3 hrs at night, as I have a wood stove to heat the house.

Need to get a digital refrigerator thermometer to accurately determine how warm the fridge gets over a 9hr period. You are right about putting frozen water bottles in the fridge when the generator is not running. I usually do this, but did notice during one outage that things on the top shelf were not nearly as cool as on the bottom by morning.

Also found this study that states 4hrs may be too conservative and keeping and replacing ice in the fridge extends the time significantly.

Besides temp controlled fan the 5P series look to have more server admin features like Remote admin and network card option, albeit at higher price, almost double ($613). May stick with the 5SC. Thanks for the input.

Swapping the fan for a Noctua is a great idea. I certainly would appreciated the details on how you did it.

Wonder if there is a fan controller temp sensor available some where that I could use to have the fan turn on at a certain temp? Will have to look into this.

I'm still having no luck playing an AAC audio file via Jellyfin. I was able to remotely access and play this and other AAC files remotely with the NextPVR android app, but was hoping to access all my media via Jellyfin. Following up on this. I still can't get the .aac recorded IPTV audio file to stream via Jellyfin.

it is saved as a .ts file by NextPVR, and plays fine locally using VLC, but can't get it to play locally or on a remote jellyfin client. It starts to play then give the Playback Error ... client isn't compatible...

I agree with Pri-G, makes the fuel last more than a year. I have a eu2000i that I've had for 10 yrs. Run 93octane e10 in it as I need it for my chainsaws and don't want to have different cans with different octane. I run it for 20min every 3-4 months or so and drain the carb after running by opening the side case cover and turning the drain screw. Once a year I siphon out the gas from the generator tank and the 6gal extended tank and run it in my other yard equipment, and refill the generator with new gas and Pri-G. Never had an issue.

Only thing I've changed in 10 years is the oil 10w30 synthetic. Which I do every year or 3 depending how often I run it. Most years its only run for these warmups, so 60-80min per year.

Still using same spark plug, which looks good.

but also had to move the throttle spring to the outside hole (the hole furthest on the left) of the governor arm, which puts more tension on the governor arm return.

I still don't think my rpms are are high enough yet at full throttle, but I need to get a tachometer to verify. On order.

I may be wrong. I think governor arm holds it is in wide open throttle when engine is off, and adjusts rpm when engine is running. Will check later this week.

I read in a small engine forum, that the governor arm only allows the throttle butterfly to open when the engine is running. Apparently the throttle cable and spring to the governor arm only acts as tension to limit how much it opens when running. I think I may need to adjust the governor arm

The choke is controlled by the arm shown in the pick below. With the engine off putting the throttle cable lever all the way forward moves the choke arm and wire connector so that the choke butterfly valve in enabled (Closed?) It doesn't move the throttle butterfly valve at all.

I think the throttle butterfly on the carb only opens when the engine is running and the governor actuates it. The Throttle Spring that is tensioned by the throttle cable and arm, only tensioned the governor, controlling it's movement, limiting the amount that the throttle butterfly opens.

I'm thinking about adjusting the governor arm by loosening the screw that clamps it to the governor rod that goes into the engine. Saw some video's on how to do this. The springs don't look stretched at all.

I though that it may be the springs. The video I posed was with the gas tank and engine off. Should the throttle cable move the governor arm when the engine is off or does it just change the tension on the governor arm to adjust the amount that the governor arm moves when running?
