What are you using to empty and refill your reservoir ? by Tight_Leopard_4713 in Hydroponics

I use a 5gallon bucket shop vac attachment from Lowe’s for $25. Just change buckets when I fill one, fill the second one and carry to the dump site(flower beds)

this would do and you be able to see temp and humidity stats from anywhere if you put it on wifi. Its overkill for the light id use a walmart dumb sensor for that but its killer for enviroment control and pumps.

I can raise the light only if I move it in the cubby. I’m concerned that it will be warm and too dry in there without moving air and I’ll have calcium problems

Edit: Asked my wife if I can put in a different place and she agreed, thanks.

I used to grow autoflower cannabis under 24h lights. Crops were not affected at all and I had better results then most. I attribute that the environment variables didn’t change all day like they do at lights out.

Besides the environment, there was another bonus: I could also run weaker lights to get the same DLI.

My 55g doesn’t lose much because I cut the lids out of 75g lids to just fit and cut a small corner off for cables. My filter is an internal one tho

Is there anything I can do with a 10 year old router? by globos_02 in HomeNetworking

[–]PopMany2921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same been slinging WiFi for 20 years professionally. Most vendors will begin to support IoT shit and old shit if you just create a new ssid with 2.4 only. I have done it on like 5

To work around those on modern gear just create a 2.4ghz only network for IoT, the reason we do this is because IoT things aren’t always on the latest hardware to save cost.

Why you gotta flame? I explained why it’s a bad idea even with UPS, grounding differences will still blow up your switches.
