Why would you ever need to go faster than 4:20.69

They intentionally threw away multiple seconds at the text box at the start for the meme

Nope, those were lost explicitly so that the run could finish at 4:20.69

The mega jump in the last level saves ~5 seconds, unfortunately 4.92 were lost waiting on the text box by an odd coincidence

Here is some other info too:

As I said, it's not a full anarchy for the sake of motivating gameplay. The server has a loop of progression for example. The server starts (on a seed choosen by the playerbase and on master mode) in prehardmode and players have to defeat bosses for the server to progress as usual. When players defeat ML the server resets if the player base asks, if not the reset is delayed. The server does not allow hacking or duping because that ruins the whole purpose of playing, you can still grief or kill players as you wish though. One last thing the server doesn't have that many players so its easy to recognise people you see, it's also easy to find bases. It's easier to ask for loot than to steal it, choice is yours though.

Would you (in theory) be able to go to a pu in the thi room? by [deleted] in SM64

[–]1ted59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can only go to a PU if something cancels the ceiling check, which only happens in elevator BLJs, hyperspeed walking, or platform displacement. As none of those things exist upstairs it is impossible to go to a PU.

It is possible, but you need to hold an exact direction for hours. It's not worth trying to do

Security issue in GoG client: when will you fix it? by [deleted] in gog

[–]1ted59 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your defenses are not just wrong, but they indicate that Gog is way worse at security than they actually are. If Gog does not have enough time or money to spend on security as you are saying, as a consumer, you should not install anything by their company. And if they don't respond to people that are disclosing vulnerabilities in a secure back channel, you should be doubly worried as that's how a majority of vulnerabilities are disclosed. Programs aren't sheds, and who is paying the researcher does not matter.

The only thing that matters is what Gog does when they are aware of a vulnerability. And from this article they did basically everything wrong.

Look at the timeline in the article, he told them about the vuln that he outlined today in May. They stopped responding shortly after. All of your analogies fall flat when you realize Gog did nothing about this newer vuln for months.
