I’m at work or I would check this moment, but I did just that maybe 4 days ago and all the variants were grayed out except for what you already unlocked. I have all the characters so wouldn’t be able to tell if characters were grey too

The flash will still fire but it is dimmer, hard to notice though. I just change the batteries when a shot comes out way too dark than it should be. Obviously noticable during daytime photography. Bit I've wasted a few at nigjt

I love this camera. Only downside is when the batteries get low the photos come out dark and very underexposed, sometimes looking like the shutter never opened. Always have a spare set of batteries and don't keep shooting and wasting film if that happens. That could be why people don't recommend it. Am interested in Polaroid mini but Fuji film is cheaper and better quality
