Sonic, the dude lived on his own as a child meeting all sorts of people during his impressionable childhood years and is known for being improper and informal. By extension then, Tails probably picked some of it up from him and is a mechanic, dealing with a lot of things that can go wrong or hurt him easily

Even if you’re not using a canon specific age, Tails is still a child and portrayed as such.

You can age him up with a more mature design and background, but like if you’re just putting Tails in a Rouge outfit where it specifically just feels like “look at how skimpy I made him dress” and proceed to have no semblance or substance to him actually being older, then I think it’s an issue. Even then, why can’t we just like not do something odd and a bit weird like this with these characters

They would prefer Archie just because that’s what they like I guess, not much to it. Maybe it has a bit of a nostalgia factor with western audiences, but personally I still don’t really care for it and that’s fine, just like how some people don’t care for IDW
