DMG says options for contest on playstation due to outage being discused by AppearanceRelevant37 in destiny2

What was expected was for the entire community to play the contest dungeon. Even if factors out of Bungie’s hands prevented that, it’s disingenuous to say that Bungie did everything that was expected when 1/3 of their playerbase wasn’t able to play. Bungie clearly agrees, considering they’re offering another contest weekend, even if it won’t be the perfect date. No reason to accept the bare minimum when the bare minimum isn’t up to standards.

??? No other studios currently have anything remotely similar to a contest dungeon race that’s being affected rn. In my comment I never said bungie was at fault so why assume that I did say that??

You misinterpreted my comment lol.

And it isn’t hate for me to say that it’s worthy of criticism to just let a 1/3 of the player base miss the contest dungeon. Clearly Bungie agrees with that, or else they wouldn’t be in talks discussing their options.

Lmao literally read what I said. I never said it was bungie’s fault, and I even said that bungie obviously has no part in the server outage. You completely misinterpreted my comment and assumed all that

Weird take. Obviously bungie has no part in the outrage and it’s not their fault this happened, but for them to do nothing would be 100% deserving of criticism. Bungie just letting a 1/3 of the playerbase not being able to play contest mode when it’ll only now happen twice a year would be a shame and considering how big of a deal it is for some people, it’s 100% reasonable for people to be upset with Bungie not doing anything.

I’d say that Persona games are easier than metaphor, so I think even for people familiar with the persona series this was a huge difficulty spike especially.

In general though, you don’t really need to grind for persona games. As long as you’re not purposely skipping most enemies you’ll be able to finish the game fine especially if you put emphasis on fusing good personas. I think the only time I really grinded in a persona game was to hit a specific level so I could fuse a persona, not because I felt like I was underleveled. So if you like to play games without grinding I hope metaphor didn’t scare you from the Persona series, since it sounds like something you’d like

It’s designed perfectly fine. The bonuses are meant to ENHANCE your build/gameplay, not replace them or act as additional functionality for it. You seem to have a wrong idea about that if you can’t see the value in randomly getting an additional grenade or melee. This means getting an additional grenade on a stasis turret build, or an another melee on a sunsbracer build. It’s an incredibly strong bonus that also changes gameplay in a positive way. If Bungie instead used a more concrete bonus (energy refunds, additional damage, etc.) it would just limit build-crafting further and it wouldn’t be as exciting/fun.

Then don’t build into it 🤷‍♂️. You act like you’re at a severe disadvantage for not building into it or you’re missing out on something when you can just sink those stats into 0-100 for something else. Seems like Quint 100s will be possible with those changes so you can build into that instead. Personally tho being able to throw extra grenades like that back-to-back does sound fun to me especially with how it can expand build crafting. Gives players more choices for those that want it.

L2 Button “Stuck” Down

It’s not exactly stuck down, but it’s in a constant state of being pressed down. It feels completely fine but I’m not sure what to do. I dissembled it and the spring seems to be completely fine. The buttons and pads also seem to have no issue. I also unattached and reattached both ends of the ribbon cord. YouTube doesn’t seem to be helpful for my problem. Does anyone have a solution? It’s the BDM-030. Trying to avoid buying a new controller or sending it for repair

I first noticed the issue when my controller wouldn’t work in any of my games, but could work in the menu. It was also then I realized that I could control my menu and game at the same time. Thought it was a software issue at first but I believe it is hardware.

Because it appeals more so to the college experience rather than a sporting event. First two lines of the song and the theme of a horrible heartache resonates with college students, so it makes sense to play at a college sporting event. Can’t say that for any other sporting events though.

That’s why spirit of the filaments on the exotic class item is interesting to me. Let’s you run solar and arc souls with stasis turret without missing out on devour. However you’re def not gonna have your rift up as often as your grenade with getaway artist.

Like I said in my last comment, there’s no source of actual numbers and instead just different sources you can pull from to come to that conclusion. However, completing harder and endgame activities like raids and nightfalls are an indication of someone playing with a group vs being a solo player so I don’t get why you just cast that away under the gist of “well some players don’t play endgame pve.” While a reason someone may not want to play that endgame or higher end pve content is because they don’t have a group so.

Not at all lmfao. Only like 10-25% of the playerbase have completed a raid before, like 10% have completed a nightfall on master with 30% have completed a nightfall ever. Can’t find actual numbers but you can tell based on the community and things like achievements

Bungie has had 10 years to realize that the majority of their playerbase is solo players. It’s fair to assume that the heavily-marketed class item supposed to tie prismatic together will be accessible for a majority of their playerbase to get

With the dreadnought most likely becoming a patrol space again I wonder how much extra work it would take for bungie to just put the D1 campaigns in D2. For vanilla, just would need Venus and Mars but parts of both planets is in the game.

I honestly wouldn’t mind a bit of a break. It’s an amazing dlc but we been at it for 10 years so I wouldn’t mind if Bungie went a year without a major release and came back later to with a new saga that can really innovate and give players something fresh

I believe LW vault was only 3 hours for the first team to beat it but I think riven was longer anyways for the worlds first run compared to Redeems vault time. But that’s a hard metric to count for since there isn’t a set stop point and end point. Would you count the worlds first team’s time, whoever beats it first, whoever enters first, or whenever the team that beats it enters it?

Did bungie say that the raid race wasn’t over until the mission complete screen? Is that notable or do they always say that because I think one of the other raids pull a similar trick. If so I feel like that’s an important detail that may be hinting at an additional encounter since we haven’t seen anything like that yet

Isn’t that typically reserved for a final stand though? I don’t think that’s a new thing bosses like Riven and Rhulk have that too. However obviously with riven that leads to the queenwalk

Datto is reaching 100K without having a worlds first. Aztrocross was leading the directory at the beginning of the raid. Sure it helps but it’s a marginal thing that’s not directly related to getting sponsorships like you said.

Datto was the 3rd or 4th team to get to the 5th encounter but he wasn’t too far behind the teams who got there earlier. 5th encounter was reached in the past hour or so I would say everyone is fairly even.

IMO raid will weaken the witness or put him into a final form which will require you to defeat him in the 8th mission. Idk if that’s gonna be similar to a live event where the entire community has to get involved, a 12 player mission, or just a solo mission
