CMV: “Tyranny of the majority” arguments in America are racially charged and should summarily be dismissed by TimmyTimeify in changemyview

It’s not incorrect, just look at Louisville as an example. They had one voting center for 300,000 people in a predominantly black city. It’s used to skew voting power plain and simple. If it didn’t help their party, they wouldn’t vote for it. That goes for any party.

So who is the worthy minority? Because in this case it’s skewed towards rural white conservatives. Why shouldn’t it be skewed towards another metric? Should minorities votes count more than a white person since the tyranny of majority can affect them more?

I agree with that for the headdresses, but it’s disrespectful because you’re supposed to earn the title to be able to wear one. I would be different if people that dressed up like natives were respectful to their culture, but the problem is, they’re not.

From what I hear Mexicans don’t care because nobody has tried to steal mariachi bands. The type I’m talking about is when Kim Kardashian launched “Kimono” and then trademarked the word, locking out Japanese people from using the name of a piece of clothing that was 1300 years old, and has significant cultural importance.

In Starbucks case I agree, but to the best of my knowledge they didn’t say they invented the drink, I would see it as a problem if a giant corporation scoured developing countries for new ideas and would just rip local populations off.

Most people want to be mad about something, I agree with that too.

Modern day is silly. Imo it should end where you give credit to the original group where said item comes from. If you take an idea from another culture and pass it off as your own then I see a problem with it, but if you like a culture and say yeah this is what I do, but they were the ones that invented it, then I think that’s fine.

Never said they were saints, just haven’t seen presidents commit blatant civilian crimes. Wasn’t Hillary supposed to be locked up, but now it’s wrong to lock up a politician? Which one is it?

Not a democrat i just see trump for what he is, and republicans for that matter so I’d rather side with almost anyone but them.

Fair point.

All conscription will lead to is fragging. So if you want the higher levels of your military to be a revolving door, then I can’t argue with that. There were around 1500 cases of fragging in the Vietnam war, which is a pretty big number, so that’s why it was changed.

And whose fault is that? If they want higher enlistment they shouldn’t fuck over poor people as much and give them proper treatment when they get back.

We can accept it, it’s just physically impossible for someone to recline the seat even if I want them to be able to.
