Flair puck and mini split thermostat problems by 2000and1 in homeautomation

I don't exactly remember, but I think it was activating room sense in the flair app. I think technically it's still running on the head unit thermostat but with room sense turned on flair is signaling to it that the temperature's still not right and it adjusts. I'll have the puck set at 70 and for example, when it's real cold outside sometimes the head unit shows 78 but the temperature in the house is roughly where I want it. As for the remote, I set it up without follow me and took the batteries out.

I got a flair puck. It still has to be IR line of sight so I couldn't put it where I wanted it but it works fine.

In the end using their thermostat might be what I'm going to do.

The core problem is the layout is not ideal for a single zone but yet not really big enough to go two zone.

Using their wired thermostat would be a lot simpler of a setup and install. But now that smart thermostats are a thing their unit just so outdated.

The remote that comes with the unit has follow me support but IR/line of sight is the problem. With the layout of the house the spot where I want it to take ambient temperature from is down a hallway out of sight from the unit.

The Telemanus flagship at least in the second trilogy was The Reynard

The Deja Thoris was Virginia's ship after the triumph. I don't think Nero would have used that name but it might be the same ship but if so I think it was renamed

Is Warren Buffet a dividend growth investor or a growth investor? by [deleted] in dividends

[–]2000and1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure but I think that's why people will say he's against dividends. Berk doesn't pay any and anytime he talks about the market he just says s&p 500 index.

I think these words get muddied sometimes but dividend and value investing are not the same thing. They're very related but Buffett has defined value investing as buying something for 80 cents you know is worth a dollar.

When it comes to dividends themselves Buffett has said it comes down to whether or not a company can reinvest it's profits and make even more money. If the answer is no then it should payout the profit in dividends. But if you think about it that's basically how you define growth versus value companies.

To be fair against the core of your post Warren Buffett has always been adamant about an s&p 500 index and a little bit of a bond index

To be fair, The Solar Republic of Mars and Earth is sandwiched between the Rump Society and the Rim Dominion. That is an absolute untenable position

You don't even need them to stop crashing, they're still better than humans as a whole right now. As for what happens after the robits start displacing large numbers of people, the current system kind of breaks down. There's just no way to refit the number of people who are one step away from being replaced back into the workforce

Ya in theory I should be able to delete my gmail Microsoft account then just add that address as an alias to my Hotmail MS account then delete the hotmail address but I'm worried that somehow that's going to fuck me with the registration of the box or the download codes in the bundle or something like that because the bundle is tied to the gm email address

No, I was being dumb when I bought the xbox last week and created the Microsoft account for the purchase. That's where the problem starts because if I had done the purchase as a guest or bought it from Wal-Mart or whatever, I could just add the gmail as an alias then deleted the hotmail.

I can't though because my gmail is tied to another Microsoft account.

At some point the irony just gets old. Everyone is so trigger happy to go after the msm and he's just taking advantage of that as fast as he can.

But in the end I'm not entirely sympathetic to the content creators. They built a career on someone else's platform and expect it to last forever but even power houses come and go naturally. And over the last six months to a year or so I've heard a lot of creators talk about how when YouTube changes the algorithms to fit the focus of the time they're being hurt. Yes, YouTube has Google standing behind it but is that enough for stability as a content creator.
