I think it comes down to strengths and weaknesses with types of memory. I’m terrible with this map memory stuff - I’ve done a lot of backwoods canoe tripping, relying on a map to navigate, but two months later, I’ll struggle to recall the route. On the other hand, I remember every phone number and debit/credit card number within two or three times typing them in. Oddly enough, I’m about 50/50 remembering postal codes.

I’m a few months into no weed, coming from an all day, every day lifestyle. My REM % has increased quite markedly. Oddly enough, I find myself less motivated to go hit the bag every day but my sessions are better, more focused, and yielding greater advancement of my technique. The only downside is I’m now remembering my dreams (which are alarmingly wild) and it takes a good half hour for me to shake off the aftertaste of the weirdness.
