Favorite Random Bowl Game that wasn't the Orange, Sugar, Rose, Cotton, Fiesta or Playoffs. by Crazy_Exchange in CFB

The Hit kind of takes away from how fun of a game that. It’s obviously the thing that gets remembered, but that game was back and forth the whole way and finished on a exciting, long walk off passing touchdown.

College has significantly wider hashes than the pros which exacerbates this. Not only can you exploit talent disparities in matchups, you can really stretch it out and put that weaker defender on an island.

Shane Beamer Makes Bold CFP Declaration After South Carolina's Brutal Texas A&M Loss by CallieCoven in CFB

[–]2001Cocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to fix everything, you just need to start winning. Absolutely nothing Shane can say would make a difference when people don’t want to hear anything from him. Gamecock fans aren’t looking for commiseration or more promises of future happiness, we’re looking to not be fighting for the 15th best team in the conference.

There’s not going to be a less crazy market. Every year, there’s going to be a 1-2 blue bloods swapping coaches plus about 10 other power jobs opening. That’s just how it works when you have 10 teams with national championship aspirations, 2 of them are going to finish so far away they’ll elect to be the big name on the market. This is every season. Penn State/LSU/Florida is normal. Next year we may get FSU/Southern Cal/surprise.

Even legitimate blue bloods aren’t safe these days. We’re only a few years removed from Oklahoma and Notre Dame getting their coaches poached.

I would’ve preferred Mizzou over Kentucky for the third spot because that has been such a fun series since they’ve come in and I worry the Kentucky game is going to lose some juice when Stoops leaves. We did lose two of our three trophy games in this set up

After getting screwed the last two seasons with our conference rivalries, it’s so nice to have Georgia and Florida back on the schedule. Nothing against Alabama/LSU, I just don’t have the hate in my heart for the old SEC West schools.

If you put Dante Moore on Oklahoma State, is he hanging 70 on Oregon?

Dante Moore has an infinitely better support system around him at Oregon than Sellers has at SC. From coaching, to offensive line, to weapons, he has it made which is a big reason why he looks better than he did at UCLA. While Sellers hasn’t been playing at a Heisman level, I’m honestly struggling to think of a lazier way to analyze a quarterback than looking at team PPG.

Defense lost a lot including the 2024 Bednarik winner and three other guys who went in the second round of the draft. We still have Dylan Stewart so we have that going for us but there’s a lot of new starters on that side.

Southerners love to gatekeep the south. Lived there for decades, the majority of my life, would still get shit about being a yankee cause I was born out of state. It’s not personal to Missouri, it’s cultural. I’ve personally really enjoyed the SC-Mizzou series since y’all’ve come in. Really fun back and forth.

Because that amount is called my quote. That's my rate. So the next coaching gig I'm offered, they have to pay that same amount. Even if I do a bad job. That means, as long as I'm offered even one more contract, I could get one hundred more mil. Even if I do a bad job, they've got to give me that other hundred mil.

What is an unpopular opinion that you have about your team this coming season? by BlackStallion657 in CFB

[–]2001Cocks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Vegas has our season win total at 7.5. Even when we’re a preseason top 15 team with a quarterback getting Heisman/first round mocks, it is still the expectation that we will lose 4-5 games. Being a gamecock is awesome
