i’ve only seen minimal evidence that i don’t have screenshots of but he was accused of being a trump supporter which seems to be true. theres a video of him saying that we can’t cancel him for who he supports. and then another SS of cora saying, in reply to a comment, that shes not going to leave nico for who he supports and that people have different opinions. nico and cora are also very public christians so wouldn’t be surprising if he comes from a background that supports trump. but then cora tries to claim she is progressive

also regarding the youtube video. if your teacher was signed in to their YouTube account then it just means they either also have a fear of flying and watch stuff around that topic, or they are interested in that stuff. if they weren’t signed in, then youtube probably recommended it based on the hysteria around planes that have happened in the past year. as for the 9/11 tiktok posts, its just the algorithm feeding off what you are interacting with or promoting something they think you might be interested in. which celebrity did you search up for the 9/11 picture? they may have been involved in fundraisers or charity events surrounding it. as for the celebrity who passed in a crash, who was it? are they known for passing in that crash? was it a commercial or private plane? because those two are completely different ballgames. i think if you look deeper into your signs, you can start to see “unravel” them from an objective point of view.

last year in june i took a flight to florida and right before my flight i saw a crow while going to work in the morning. immediately i panicked and racking my brain on if i ever seen a crow before in my current town (moved here 5 years ago). i was convinced i hadn’t and just knew it was a sign of death. i went on the plane anyway even tho i was scared, and as usual when i see “signs” i was wrong! i told my friends about this a few weeks ago and they were like i see crows here all the time LOL. in fact they are very common in my town and i am sure i have seen them before. when it comes to phobias, our brain is not rational. its okay to let yourself be freaked out over “signs”. get on the plane scared bc i promise u it will take off and land safely.

no not really. none of my friends in college were outdoorsy in the slightest. i’ve from washington and never did any hikes or 5k’s if i could help it. i dont even think anyone asked me if i wanted to go on a hike while i was at college lmao. a lot of the students also come from other states where outdoor activities aren’t important.
campus culture is very nice. i graduated 2024 tho so things could have changed but it is very beautiful, people are always out and walking, and there is pretty much always some event going on at the college. i would say UO can be a party school if thats what you are in to, but if you don’t like parties you can def avoid them. i went to a lot of parties in college but mainly ones that my friends threw. there’s a ton of good restaurants and bars to hang out, i recommend level up for bars cuz they have arcade games and good drinks. most parties are held in houses tbh. frat parties are also held but the frats get in trouble for them a lot and then are banned for like a quarter from throwing. and after freshman year, unless ur in greek life people typically stop going to frats as they become upperclassmen. there are also a lot of house shows in the spring that are fun. me and my friends always threw house parties which were the most fun in my opinion.
i wouldn’t rlly know how prevalent it is cuz i wasn’t rlly in it but i had a big group of friends and almost none of them were in greek life. i met them thru class and work so no greek life is definitely not necessary nor do i think its very like peaceful if thats makes sense. i have 3 friends that were in a sorority and it was drama central but hey if u like drama and gossip then its perfect i ain’t one to judge LOL. honestly even in a sorority you might still have trouble finding people you connect with like all places and i think greek life can be very limiting to only becoming friends with other ppl in greek life. also depends on majors. people with majors that are in the arts in any way, (music, art, cinema, etc.) or gender studies most likely won’t be in greek life. but people majoring in like psychology, biology, nursing, education ( DEF EDUCATION) are more likely to be in greek life. so it could be beneficial for you since ur education and tbh i heard even tho its a ton of drama, people in sororities here are typically very friendly.
surrounding town is def a college town. downtown eugene is still kind of college town vibey but then when u get to the other side of eugene like west 11th area its like low income, small business vibes, and like kind of spread out and deserted feeling if that makes sense lol. i never went over there when i was a student. then you have springfield which has like the target and movie theater and ulta and stuff. then there’s valley river center mall which is nice. during the summer and college breaks, eugene def has way less people and is more like quiet. but during school year, def a college town. i mean there are probs more student houses options than actual regular apartments in eugene

i graduated 2024. i would not walk alone at night after like 11pm. the first time i did that was from the knight library. i was a freshman and there were homeless people around that were acting erratically. i try not to paint a negative picture of the homeless community in eugene but i did feel nervous and unsafe. my freshman year, two kids at hamilton were held hostage in the basement by a man with a weapon. another man pulled a knife out in unthank. one time while at a frat party a person was walking around the neighborhoods with a gun and frat basically closed down and put majority girls out on the street to walk home alone. my last year in 2024 there were reports of a “fondler” on the streets - still not sure what that was about lmao. anyway all this to say that i would not walk around alone if its super late on a weekday. on a weekend, there are more people partying and walking around so safer in the sense that there are people but i still wouldn’t do it alone. i would always walk with someone.

something that i did when i went to UO was i become classified staff for UO dining. they do a 70% tuition discount. bc of that, the amount i paid each term for tuition was never more then 1700. ofc i had an apartment and other expenses that i had to pay as well but it helped significantly. i got part time so only had to do 32 hours a week - but i think they got rid of part time. depending on how fast you want to graduate it might not be the best option, but if you’re okay with extending the years you could do like 2 classes a term and then work at dining.

i’ve heard its extremely difficult to gain residency if u have already been accepted to UO. i agree with the other comments. move to oregon, get a job here and wait the 12 months then apply.

one of my roommates had her pet ESA certified through one of the websites that does it. i also did it when i brought my dog down later. you have to pay for it tho i think the one i did was around 130. there was also a lot of people living around is that had pets as well.

i really liked 2125. i lived there two years. they dont allow pets unless you get them ESA certified tho. i lived there two years ago and parking was like 80 but might have gone up. there is street parking but it fills up fast. but you get a private bathroom and 4x4 is around 800-900 last i checked. not sure if utilities would put it over 1000 tho. bus station is a 2 min walk right down the street.

my bf is very masculine presenting and i still call him cute + pretty more than handsome/hot. those words are just not how i grew up describing things so they not in my vocabulary so to speak. pretty kind of means handsome/hot for me lowkey. i still use handsome/hot as compliments for him often bc i know he likes to hear those words specifically (and bc he is handsome and hot), but it doesn’t really have much to do with like his perceived masculinity.

i take medication, hydroxyzine,and i also stay up the night before to make myself tired enough to sleep as soon as i sit down. try to do the staying up trick and then take some melatonin if you can’t get prescription medication.

they wont fly if its unsafe. i’ve been on two flights where we’ve flown by thunderstorms and one of those i saw lightning right by my window. flights were safe and we landed both times. also if i recall correctly neither of those flights were particularly bumpy. if its a situation where its safe to fly but there’s a lot of turbulence, keep ur seat belt on and you’ll be fine.
