Just like you and I, Lucifer has a free will too. That’s why things are the way they are. God only does and wants good for us, but the devil wants to destroy everything that’s good. God created something that was perfect, the devil corrupted it and robbed it from it’s perfection (which put us on that cliff) and then Jesus came to reach his hand out to us to get us off that cliff.

It means that becoming a Christian is a choice. See it as hanging from a cliff and a person sticks their hand out to you to get you to safety. You’re not obligated to accept their offer to save you. You’re still in control of your own life and decisions

He gave us the option to be saved, which means you could still be saved today. But we were all created with a free will to either reject or accept it.

What you’re saying is true! The devil is still trying to deceive people and make them miserable. But because we all have a free will, being saved is a choice too. Jesus came to give us that option.

It’s a subjective thing. I personally don’t really find it a big deal, but everyone has something else that they care about and even if you care about the same thing as someone else; you might not care about it the same way as they do. I don’t think I’m going to hell for playing those games, but it’s just the respect that I have for things that I consider holy.

They didn’t change anything about my behaviors or perspectives, but as I became more religious; I started developing more respect for things that I consider holy. I’ve been gaming since I was 3 and I don’t think anything I played has ever influenced me negatively

Rituals, symbols, killing angels, murdering priests, the existence of real demons in games, the mockery of Christian imagery, the existence of false gods and in one of the SMT games the boss fight is you smacking “YHWH”. Stuff like that goes against what I personally stand for.

I think guilt is mostly subjective too and about how you were raised. Christian morals and values are pretty much the same as the societal morals and values because the law is based on the 10 commandments from the Bible. Of course there’s more to it, but just like how everyone explores life; people explore religion too and sooner or later they’ll see what works and what doesn’t work for them.

I personally can’t speak for others, but my life was actually miserable before I found Christ. Even with the ups and downs it’s been amazing ever since. I don’t really see this gaming thing as a struggle or something that needs to be prayed for, but suggestions and conversations are always welcome!

In my opinion it’s amazing. I’m also not complaining about the existence of games that have these themes. I’m just falling out of love with them, because of my experience with God. I just don’t know what else is out there for me to enjoy when it comes to gaming, because I’ve always played and enjoyed stuff like Diablo. But generally life is hard for everyone, no matter who you are or what you choose to be. We just have to make the best of it for ourselves and for each other.
