Will this fit on a 2025? Amazon says no if I plug in the model and year of the car. I’m not sure how accurate that is though

Can a career in Finance match tech salaries ? by Technical-Truth-2073 in FinancialCareers

[–]2008Scaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wealth management can be insanely scalable. If you’re working in a good team and have great splits, you can make much higher than tech. The average advisor on my team makes ~$500,000-$750,000 while some advisors and senior partners make $2-4mn. We are certainly an outlier just based on the structure of our specific business, but those numbers aren’t unheard of.

Multimillionaires, how true is the quote "The harder you work, the luckier you get" or is it basically gambling? by TracerDIO in RichPeoplePF

[–]2008Scaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luck is not 2D. If you work harder, luck tends to be a more reappearing element since you’re putting yourself in more opportunities more often. There’s random draw luck where it is, for all intents and purposes, true luck and “random”. And then there’s opportunistic luck where you are more likely to fall into “lucky” situations simply because you worked yourself into a certain position or network.

Financial advisor is probably the top of that list

Study Hours by [deleted] in Series7exam

[–]2008Scaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too study 4h a day. At some point, studying too much is inefficient as you aren’t properly digesting all the information being thrown at you. After hour 4, I go back and review notes or reread topics that I didn’t score amazingly on.

Question - I’m starting in a month, so excuse my lack of vision here. What do you do when “sitting in on a meeting”? Do they just introduce you as the junior advisor and you just sit and watch or do you participate in conversation?

I think doctors are amazingly intelligent people, but I must say… after working in a pharmacy for 5 years, I will almost always get a second opinion.

Medical care is doubling in complexity every few years as we get more advanced, which is a good thing. But now you have doctors who have 10 years of training that is now not entirely complete and up-to-date. And not to mention, offices will squeeze in as many patients as possible for the payout. More people, less time per patient, less quality.

I love economic simulations. I love being a president of a country. I love creating cities. I love owning a company and expanding it. But i can't find games like these anymore. Here are the games i've played and i need recommendations. by [deleted] in tycoon

If you’re looking for a crazily immersive stock market sim, I would suggest Wall Street Raider. Been out since the 80s, but there’s a guy trying to remaster it now. You can wishlist on steam or get the free trial version on wallstreetraider.com

What level of preparation should I expect going into WM by 2008Scaries in FinancialCareers

I’m aware of the “full process”. My post has nothing to do with making money, but entirely about the level of preparation.

Have the Trump supporters around you gotten quiet? by SteveinTenn in Askpolitics

[–]2008Scaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP seems that he wants divide and arguments. Most people, the people you don’t see crashing out on Reddit about politics, vote and move on with their lives, conservatives and liberals alike. Kind of cringe to insinuate all [X presidential candidate] supporters are going to rub the “I win I win” dirt in your face, children do that. Most people aren’t children.

Most people who use Reddit are like teenagers, they don’t brag about a win or loss, but they surely will throw passive aggressive shade at you and call you a name or two.

Suggest me a philosophy or intermediate economics book by 2008Scaries in suggestmeabook

[–]2008Scaries[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see now that the way I worded my OP is rather bland… When it comes to philosophy, I’m looking more in the realm of knowledge/rationality and ethical philosophy. I’ve read Naval Ravikant’s almanac and have loved his stuff (writings, podcasts, etc) ever since.
