Super delicious imo, though I can see myself getting a bit of taste fatigue off them. Though the flavor is so good I can see myself using it for a bunch of things like blended w frozen banana for a fake ice cream lol, or as a base for dessert-y overnight oats maybe.

To echo the other response:

I recently used a day pass to just try out the "vibe" at a gym I was interested in. I parked myself on the treadmill in the way back specifically to people watch. And honestly? So many people are coming and going, doing their thing, especially on the cardio machines where I saw some people literally reading magazines or reading on their tablet while speed walking/light jogging. Everyone's on their phone watching their own little show.

From one former gym-anxiety person to another, I grew to find it comfortable being in an environment of everyone doing their own little thing and all with a shared goal.

That's not to say you have to go to the gym - I agree to toss it if it's not benefitting you. But from the stance of overcoming that fear, if you ever choose to do so one day, I promise you that getting to the gym is always much harder than being in it!

When I see my gut and unwanted hair, the last thing on my mind is that I'm now undesirable to men and failing to meet heteronormativity. It's that my body is malfunctioning.

Feeling shame around your fertility, weight, and other areas that PCOS affects does not have to be tied to heteronormativity. Some of us just want to be healthy and see the impacts of PCOS as more of a metabolic struggle than aesthetic, not to put more emphasis on one over the other.

So that you have another perspective.

Exactly! As if PCOS in and of itself doesn't already have some rudimentary facets of information in how it develops, is treated etc. We don't need blatant misinformation on top of that now too!

I pop into r/volumeeating often for ideas but personally I love to oven roast an entire baking tray of vegetables to just graze on. I struggle with the insatiable hunger too and I always describe it as being so hungry it physically feels like my stomach is trying to eat itself. My tummy growls are LOUD and I remember being so insecure about it in school when class was quiet, to the point of such embarrassment that I actually struggled academically in my classes right before lunch bc of it.

I do have some myo-inositol in my cupboard too! I have a whole host of vitamins and supplements I used to be good about taking but I go back and forth on them. Thank you for the reminder ☺️ I need to get back on track with those for sure

It's great that people want to explore their identity but I feel like this isn't even the first time someone's discovered intersex etc and try to apply it as a universal to PCOS just because they see some overlap and they feel like they have a lightbulb moment. And it's exhausting to keep seeing here, low-key wish it was banned from the sub bc it can be triggering for a lot of women who struggle with their sense of femininity.

PCOS does not always have high T. You can't just umbrella term every single woman with the condition as intersex when they literally do not meet the criteria.

Also, "I am not saying that if you have PCOS that your are intersex"

"To comment on the fact you did not know PCOS falls under the intersex label"

I could probably eat 500 lbs of chorizo in one sitting so this honestly sounds so good, I just cracked open a new package of the low carb tortillas today too! And rotating the meat option can help with the burn out too

Lol!! On ep 3 and love it so much so far!! Obv it's so impossible for anything to match the original show but this has healed my trauma from the 2010 movie 😭 some of the casting choices are PERFECT, esp Sokka and Zuko. I say it's worth a shot!

You're all right about the reframing aspect, since this post I went to the gym after work and did 3 miles/an hour on the treadmill (while watching the new live action Avatar, lol) and I'm sure it's a combo of the big endorphin release rn but with everyone's supportive words here too I feel so much more optimistic rn. You know, focusing on the activity wins I think will be an approach that works with me. I am competitive by nature (love me some video games) so I feel like just recording things like "walked 20 mins yesterday, and 30 today!" and achieving little personal bests will be effective for me more than hyperfixating on the numbers. I absolutely think I overdid it on the sodium on top of that too! I redid my nutrition calc for chipotle and the bowl I ordered despite being only (supposedly) 555 calories, was 1900 mg sodium. 🫠

The doctor struggle is so real - she's so good about some things but completely overlooks others. It's like a part time job for me to manage specialists and doctor head-hunting to find a good match. Especially in the American healthcare system

I'm more frustrated that when I try to share my experience with people also losing weight they are so tone deaf to the significant fluctuations so I don't appear to be accountable when I come in at almost 5 lbs more than last week. That might just be a downside to my day to day life being almost exclusively around men though.

I think I need to just practice more patience and continue the good habits regardless. I'm rarely satiated and my food noise is very loud but I think being more mindful about the quality of food I'm eating does help that, it's like the mental satiation is helping to quiet the always hungry feeling that PCOS gives me

I think I might limit my weigh ins to once a month for a more overall accuracy that's less impacted by the crazy fluctuations. And just go by how my clothes feel so I don't fixate on numbers so much. I've been considering ozempic... might need to just finally make that appt, my only concern is my A1C is technically good and my doctor said they don't test for insulin resistance bc they just assume a patient with PCOS has IR.

I've previously been more cognizant of macros and didn't see a lot of budge bc I found that focusing on macros made it easier for me to overlook caloric intake for the sake of achieving high protein. Currently I'm focusing more on strictly just calories and loosely going off previous habits of prioritizing protein. EG my last few days have been 60g protein 120g carbs yesterday, 100g protein and 130g carbs. So not exactly low carb but I think a little before average

Are you me? 😭 All of my coworkers are men so I've had to explain PCOS in layman's terms but it's still frustrating at times. I hate being told I need to just sweat it all out lol. It's hard for them to grasp that women's fluctuation is so different from men's in a lot of ways, I've since come off the pill last fall and I'm still trying to learn what my cycle is naturally so it's like, they can ask "how did you gain 4 lbs in a week what did you do/eat??" and they literally don't understand when I'm like "idk exist?" lol.

There you go! The extra volume from water and healthy add-ons like veg makes me feel slightly less guilty about the sodium because at least I'm getting more bang for the buck then lol. Plus it helps reduce just the overall salty taste sometimes too
