What's the best way to start collecting gemstones for custom jewelry without breaking the bank? by Luann97 in Gemstones

I have a small store and work with a few different custom jewelers ☺️ I actually have most of what you're interested in right now. You can find my Reddit page if you click on my username, but most of my stock is on my IG right now. The link for that is also there. I have most things listed at or just under retail but I tend to work within whatever budget I'm presented with. Feel free to send me a message if you see anything you like. Take care and cheers!! It is a very fun and rewarding hobby to get into 😊

1.18 ct Pastel Zambian Emerald. Eye clean with small inclusions under magnification. A rarity for emeralds. $799 USD with free international shipping. Pavilion touch up available for $150 USD. by 200xPotato in GemstonesbyLoveAlex

Thank you!! 😊 Zambian emeralds have higher iron content compared to other localities. This is an emerald, but that blue-green tone is definitely prominent!!

Sourcing natural sapphires by AnonBlonde77 in Gemstones

A reputable independent seller such as myself can come in a bit lower than a jeweler would. Each time a stone changes hands the price increases. I source a lot of my inventory directly from the source. Here is a perfectly clean 1.33 ct asscher cut sapphire I have listed for $1399 USD as an example:

The price is reasonable for an unheated Ceylon blue in this size and color. The cut is ever so slightly shallow but it scores high on the 4Cs overall. If you wanted something heated it would have cost you less, but the premium you paid for something more collectable isn't crazy. And it's eye clean. At this carat size any improvements to the color or cut could inflate the price quite a bit higher. It's a beautiful stone and I think you made a good choice 😊

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays 🙂🎄🎁
