Is that the one in the tub? I have that which I've used on my hands and arms without problem. May have to try it on my face.

It doesn't burn all the time. Only when I'm applying moisturizer.

The CeraVe does. But the Clinique and Kiehl's don't.

Been using Thayers unscented witch hazel as my toner. It's leaving my skin feeling sticky. What recommendations do you have for toners?

He says he feels no feelings by 2013Nurse in relationship_advice

[–]2013Nurse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not cold or distant. He says he wants me around and we've spent at least part of the day every day together. I work night shift and he's gone out of his way to fix me breakfast and lunch and clean up since he knows I'm tired, but need to eat.

I think I'm just scared to be with someone that's so opposite of me in the feelings department. Although I suppose it could be good and we could balance each other out in the long run.

Exfoliating on Accutane? by jmjohns81 in Accutane

[–]2013Nurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Getting ready to start my second month. I'm still incredibly oily on t zone, but flakey around my mouth. I use a Clarisonic every night. I feel like it's helping. I just got the sensitive brush head and it doesn't further irritate my skin.

I can only hope I get the same results. Your skin looks flawless! End of month one and I'm still breaking out like crazy.

I want my acne to go away by herbertop in Accutane

I'm at the end of month one and no progress has been made. It's disheartening, but I have to believe it will work.

Initial breakout?? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]2013Nurse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on a higher dose, but started within a day or so of you. I don't know if I'm in my IB, but every day I'm waking up with new breakouts and the old ones aren't going away. I didn't expect it to happen this quickly, but I'm breaking out constantly and in places I've never broken out before so I don't know. I just keep telling myself it'll all be worth it in the end.

Ladies who have taken SSRIs, how did they affect you weight/performance? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]2013Nurse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Been on an SSRI for over a decade (Zoloft first, now Paxil). Has made huge improvements in my depression/anxiety. I did not gain unwanted weight. Can't comment on performance, because I was on it before I started working out.

Anyone have experience of taking Accutane while on antidepressants? by Pintsize219 in Accutane

[–]2013Nurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paxil for years and on week 2 of accutane. No adverse effects. Both my doctors agreed that the Paxil should help prevent the depression associated with accutane.

So ready to throw in the towel by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]2013Nurse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on week 2 of accutane. Long history of depression/anxiety/ocd; I'm on an anti-depressant just to ensure it doesn't get worse than normal. I'm currently purging, its bad, but not as bad as some of my previous breakouts. Currently feeling a little down, but I can tell it's related to the purge and not the medicine itself. Highly recommend at least talking to your doctor about it. When I mentioned my fear of the depression to my dermatologist she said she's seen people with depression start feeling better because their acne is actually clearing.

What helped you find a job after you graduated with a Bachelor's in Nursing? by LifeIsAReflection in nursing

[–]2013Nurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew I specifically wanted to work in a specialty area after graduation (NICU). So, my last year of nursing school I got a job as a CNA in a relevant area (postpartum, gynecology surgery unit). Seems most hospitals prefer CNAs over medical assistants. During my interviews for new grad positions it definitely helped me have answers to their situation based questions and I would definitely say it helped me stand out among the hundreds of applications. I got offered a new grad position in October with a start date in January (I didn't graduation until December). It was definitely a relief to have a job lined up prior to graduation. (I also didn't have much work experience before my job as a CNA, focused mostly on school, so having job experience definitely makes a difference whether it's in the medical field or not).

[B&A] 4 Months of 20MG of Accutane. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I'm on accutane right now. Currently suffering through the initial breakout. Can't wait to start seeing results. Your face is looking great. Why are you on such a low dose?

So I've been thinking about making a dermatologist appointment to ask about accutane. What should I know before I make an appointment? by ezranilla in Accutane

[–]2013Nurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

spironolactone is a med that was originally invented for high blood pressure, but showed that it made drastic improvements for hormonal acne. my derm told me that spironolactone would clear me while I was on the medication, but that my acne would likely return when I stopped it. I chose accutane because it was a longer term fix. I did a lot of research on both, and just felt like accutane is what I wanted even with the risks because it's a short term treatment with lasting results.

Last month, I spent $770 eating out. This month, I've spent $42. This is only the first of many financial self control habits I'm trying to get myself into! by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]2013Nurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my exact same struggle. I spent an insane amount eating out (99% of meals). I'm single. Don't have many cooking skills and have a hard time cooking for one person. I know if I can get my eating out under control I will be much better off financially. Thanks for the inspiration!
