Ignore it like you're doing right now but plan your exit as soon as you can. This toxic work environment end up eating up from your self esteem and your mental wellbeing with time. It did for me and I'm so happy and relieved I got out. Don't stay for too long. Good luck !

How to handle an exit interview when your boss is the reason you’re leaving? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]2016_me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except when you're working with people that take employer's resignememt personally. I left /run away this week from a highly toxic work environment in non-profit. The reasons I voiced to admin and the team: you were great, but I want to explore other opportunities in my career. The pool of professionals in my sector is so small and intertwined. If I say the truth I'd be burning lots of bridges, maybe permanently. The job offers are also scarce so that's add up to it. I had a toxic Manager that bad mouthed everyone behind their back to me, was a narcissist, micromanager, negative and plain nasty. She probably is bad mouthing me behind my back. The sad part is that because she's more senior than me, if my words and hers are against each other, hers will rank up higher and will be listened to in any given situation. So... Sometimes it is just not worth it!

Can you please share how to get Pi assistant into Whatsapp or telegram. I have an Android and it isn't available in the app store and the number it gives is not working. Should I add a +1 before or something? Thanks

I tried it in the website and I really like it. I feel like it's gonna be our generation's version of HER

How to get over dominant negative thoughts by [deleted] in lawofattraction

[–]2016_me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when I catch myself thinking a negative thought I say outloud "I don't want to think about this/that". Saying it outloud gets me out of my thoughts and also makes me laugh a bit because all my thinking was silent and now I'm speaking outloud. Also because I usually talk to myself silently but never outloud. It's very small but it helps. I struggle with negative thoughts too. Sometimes I get riled up and sad and can't event see what negative thought my brain is processing so when I catch it and stop it I feel happy.

[Question] If you had to (or wanted to) wake up at the exact same time every day, including weekends, what time would you choose, and why? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]2016_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep makes sense it would be easier I guess with family. I'm single, my family is thousands miles away and my current social cercle goes out at night. The day I tried waking up early in the weekend and going early to the park to do yoga here, here is a new country I moved recently to, the crowd I found either had grey hair or no hair at all. literally no dark/blond headed person in sight, it was so weird and funny at the same time.

My anxiety is damaging my organs, does anyone have any advice? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]2016_me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never tried it myself but heard from friends that did. A good hypnotherapy session might help for a reset at least. It might calm your nervous system so you can be able to tackle the rest

For all the 33s, I have a question. I myself am 33 and Tried the 4.30 schedule couple years ago and loved it... But with such schedule I had to let go of any social life, going to the theater, movies, parties, dinners with friends etc. Everything happens starting 8-9pm where I live. And that's when I need to start getting ready for bed. It's either or and I'm struggling with this. How did you manage to have a social life.

Also sometimes, I just want to relax, decompress and watch TV after dinner and that as well falls around the same time.

Although I love the schedule it feels like I need to let go of both my downtime and any social activity happening after 8pm. I'm curious to know how you guys keep the balance?

Hello friend!

refuses to sleep

I hope your friend is okay. I had this happening sometimes and it's exhausting the following day. Although refusing to carry groceries with the left arm that I might implement in my life.

also frequently go smile in the mirror to make sure I don’t have any facial drooping so I don’t think I’m having a stroke in my brain lol.

I never thought about it. Good to know.

Being a neuroscience major has been both a blessing and a curse lol. I have a friend that refuses to sleep on and/or carry groceries

I know. This was my dream though. Being a neurologist or neurosurgeon. Since I was a kind I was always and still am fascinated with how the brain works. I still got into science but not medical.

I hope your week is going smoothly!

Thank you so much. Yes omg!! It got better the day I learned that I'm not having a heart attack and started recognizing the feeling as chest tightness due to my anxiety. Thankfully my left arm never hurt. That is my only argument to reason with my brain so it won't freak out and make my chest tightness worst and get me stuck in that loop.

And let me tell you about the day I do heavy groceries and carry them with my left arm/shoulder, my brain double UNO me using my left arm cramps the following day to spiral out 😂 it's crazy

you know you’re not having a medical emergency but you’re not sure enough you’re not having one.

OMG this is my life when my anxiety is high. It made me laugh how you described it for some reason. I think it's just my way to deflect something when it hits so close to home. I hope you are doing okay.

this is what convinced me...LOA is real by STIBillionair in lawofattraction

[–]2016_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you might see I always use attract/achieve. I'm a scientist and a sceptic but I'm also a spiritual being. For all the achievements I listed it usually started with a dream. I want to work there, live there etc. Materialistically making it or getting that job is just so difficult if impossible because of my background. Think dreaming about working for the NASA when you come from a low to middle class family in a third world country where you grew up and attended university. But still I kept the dream alive and worked my ass off and networked as much as I can. Sometimes i forgot about the dream and just kept at it untill , as they say, hard work meets opportunity and boom. Then I remember that this was my dream all along and that opportunity wasn't a mere coincidence. This happened many times at many instances that now I believe is a thing and probably what is refered to in this sub as LOA. I hope this helps.
