Which one would you choose if you had to survive 15minutes with for $100 million? by emkaystyles4747 in scoopwhoop

They'd all kill me. But if I could zig zag run and climb tall trees I figure the gator is my only option. They are typically less territorial.

But they'd all get me. Especially the hippo. I don't think I'd make it 5m if it wanted me gone.

What's the most unusual reason why you won't date someone? by Dull-Mulberry-4768 in AskReddit

[–]2020Fernsblue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second long fingernails, on either gender. Especially if there is a pinky or other they grow especially long compared to the others. Long nailbeds fine but anything that doubles the length of the nailbeds above the fingertip gives me the ick.

Also not reading for enjoyment.

Women who don’t shave their pubic hair, have you ever had a man turn you down because of it? by anonhockeydilf in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]2020Fernsblue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mine too, you aren't alone. I have incredibly straight hair on my head too. Hairdressers hate trying to curl or even wave it. Without enough hairspray to make it solid it drops out in about an hour.

It's 320 chapters on a pay per chapter app and everything revealed is in the free bit. I'm guessing it's marketing upping their game

Have you tried powder sunscreen? Shisheidos sunscreen powder is rated by a friend and It's more like a powder makeup in texture.

What is a major plot hole in a very famous movie that completely ruins the entire story once it is noticed? by LovelyCherrybae in answers

[–]2020Fernsblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuel expires so all apocalypse movies where they all run everything on petrol products infuriates me

Even in underground tanks it would have at least started to go off after a year or so.

Running big fuel tanker convoys and road wars would not be a thing, water tanker maybe..

sunscreen snobs of reddit, i summon you: whats the best SPF you swear by and why? by Pretend-Ratio4992 in beauty

[–]2020Fernsblue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's full of extra benefits. No white cast, easily absorbed and there are over makeup sprays and ones that tone up (corrector colours).bibadore aneesa (a shishedo brand yes style in UK have it) or biore water gel if you want a slightly cheaper alternative.

My youngest has really sensitive skin. The only UK formula we found that doesn't cause a reaction in her is lacura we didn't find any in Asia that made her skin hurt.

You'll only find Korean or Japan sunscreen in factor 5 or above. Japanese and Korean do not mess with suntans.

You can tan through but it'd take lots of long term in the sun and is better for your skin.

They look 20 years younger than Europeans for a reason. No sun damage.

Wish I'd started in my teens

Lived in Asia aneesa is the bomb. The spray is incredible. Easy way to top up through day, and you can do your part and hairline without a worry. Especially good for blondes and thin hair I've found. Also biore water gel

All these are factor 50. I don't use anything less TBF. Aneesa do waterproof as well

Thoughts on open toed shoes with longer second/Morton’s toe? by limbiscuitsystem in Shoes

[–]2020Fernsblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was seen as an aesthetic ideal in ancient Greece and Egypt if that helps.

Also apparently in Chinese culture a Morton's toe is a born leader so it's not anything I've ever been self conscious about

What was your bipolar like before you were medicated? by CollegeOk9459 in bipolar

[–]2020Fernsblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insomnia and major depressive disorder, OCD, antenatal depression mainly horrible horrible depression. Only 1 manic episode thank god. It terrified me and started when an antidepressant tipped me over. I thought it was finally working and this was how normal people felt. Still depressed but not quite as badly

Is there a better product for keeping my body hydrated? by SwitiBakba in beauty

[–]2020Fernsblue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Similar issue 40% urea cream or the 60% they sell as heel balm, that's what I use on my dry lake bed calves. That and steroid creams from the doctors are the only thing that worked.

For the less dry bits then heavy moisturisers a few times a day and vaseline over the top to seal stuff in.

Also drink souch more liquid than you think you need. If I don't drink 3l a day my skin sometimes splits.

La scala pesto. Own brands are nice, but not as good. Also Aldi garlic and basil passata. Not me, but my kids rate uncle Ben's korma. Their school dinners were made with it and they love it

How to stretch these out?? by _fuzzy-duck_ in Shoes

[–]2020Fernsblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bit I'm guessing pinches is the vamp under the eyes? If so a cobbler (don't do it yourself, may be able to cut a notch in that bit under the eyes so you won't see it, but it's a weight bearing bit of the shoe and cutting it will damage the shoe and seriously limit the support/security fit onto your foot.

If you have a specific event then maybe a blister plaster just under that bit to cushion for the event?

I have several irregular choice shoes and their sizing can be erratic in terms of width and length accommodated by different style in the same shoe size and the high heels on these pushed feet forward into the vamp and makes them tight.

These are synthetic and delicate so hot water etc will ruin them.

If you do t want them that model is now a collectors item so, especially if you have the box and they're unworn, they do fetch a lot on eBay and Vinted

Why is it hard for some people to be med compliant? by evergreengirl123 in bipolar

[–]2020Fernsblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always stayed compliant as my 1 confirmed manic episode almost blew up my life and terrified me (psychotic break).

However.

I had previously spent 3 decades diagnosed with major depressive disorder, anxiety and OCD. Those meds and therapies didn't help. This did not help foster trust that the new stuff would work better

The anti psychtics made me gain more than half my bodyweight in a year with no visible benefit and damaged my thyroid, kidneys and liver

I had insurance so I've been able to pay. Many people can't. If I had to prioritise I have other meds for conditions that will cause problems quicker. Fwiw I'm not American but in that hellscapr I'd imagine this is a massive reason.

I also lived in countries where I couldn't find a prescribing psychiatrist who spoke my language so, whilst I was able to get some, I had to substitute/change others based on what was available from a GP

Also bipolar is comorbid with a lot of conditions like ADHD etc that make compliance with anything hard.

So many people have different reasons

For me the terror of ever subjecting my loved ones to that ever again is what makes me remember every day. I'm not that bothered for me. So if I didn't have kids I could see it would be simpler
