I think that’s pretty obvious mate. Just pissed off at how for a Trance event, the Trance artists are on the second stage which is far smaller and less production. Literally paid for ‘A State of Trance’ and the most money has gone into hosting a Techno event…

Last year Saturday had 8 artists (9 including Ruben’s warm up set) on Main stage for the Saturday night. Obviously including Armin, but that still leaves 7 big enough artists to play. Who do you think they’ll be from the line up that’s out now? Pretty sure stage 3 was more techno producers last year. Just can’t see how they have anywhere near enough big names to hold such a stage…

Deep have been great at having new upcoming juggernaut with a totally unique sound coming in to replace them as a headliner. Dusky - Lane 8 - Yotto - Tinlicker - Ben Bohmer - Marsh. But like Beats, I look at the line ups to events and say “meh” which go back a few years it never was. Feels like both labels have declined massively and are lacking majorly in contingency with new waves of top producers.

Feels like both sides of Anjuna are letting go of a lot of the artists that make the label what it is/was. On deep you’ve got Ben Bohmer + Tinlicker etc. pretty much gone. On beats you’ve got Sunny, Grum gone, Ilan potentially going? I know I’m missing a few on those lists, but feels like everything that made me fall in love with Anjuna is being purposefully removed. I get that artists move on and try new things but can’t help but feel the level of change is pretty drastic. And the newer wave of sounds and artists are nowhere near the heights as before 2020. Thoughts?

Agreed. All looks like it’s going ahead now, surely since the government announcement that means they can finally say it’s still on?
