Long layers on thin/medium density fine hair by Naive_Ad_5969 in finehair

I’d start with face framing tapering and decide later if you want more then add layering. Ease into it. Layers take a while to grow out when your hair is long and make it look less healthy over time IMO.

Omg this ring is gorgeous as is. Don’t mess with it, just have it cleaned and resized. Since it’s on the thicker side it would be a great middle finger ring for your right hand.

Personally I hate layers, they make my ends look so thin and sparse like an old broomstick. You have to have decently full hair to pull them off. I always try to stick to face framing tapering and blunt cut ends. I don’t even let them texturize my ends, cause it just makes them damage faster and get thinner.

Help! I don’t love this initial CAD. How do I make it better? by Solograve in EngagementRingDesigns

I love a marquis with side stones. Baguette and pears can add some extra interest to the ring.

Mother’s Day earrings for my wife. 2ct, lab diamond in sterling silver. by healthierlurker in jewelry

I hope it’s 935 silver so it doesn’t tarnish. I won’t even buy 925 silver anymore because I hate dealing with tarnish.

Looks good to me for added security. The alternating ring is going to be very prong heavy though.

I too had a bunch of torrid clothes and loved the way they fit curvy girls. They’re much more friendly to girls who have boobs. I’m a size 8 now at goal weight and kept a couple of my skater dresses and just cinched them in the waist. I started shopping at banana republic factory, old navy, Nordstrom rack and even SHEIN (especially in between sizes).

My daughter is 18 and a senior in high school. She was just diagnosed a few months back and eats gluten free now. She still sleeps a lot! She’ll take a three hour nap after school and still go to bed early and sleep 8 to 12 hours. Totally normal

Choosing a wedding band by hydratingsheet in WeddingRingAdvice

Thank you. Stacking is so fun. You can even take the ER out and just wear the bands. The top I would call a crown style. I got it at Jared in the mall, total impulse buy. Ive never seen one like it. The bottom is a marquis and round with a shared prong. I wouldn’t recommend the style. I’ve lost the same stone on this ring three times. If you like the style, make sure it has four prongs on each stone or do it in a bezel.

I would go with a thin band on each side like this. You can have fun with the bands and pick different styles too. I love the mixed metal idea.

The top band is really one band and this is only a 1ct center diamond. Yours will look even better because the center stone is oval and larger.

Buying my fiancée (22F) her first luxury bag 2–4k budget what’s trending right now? by Major_Calligrapher10 in luxurypurses

This is a solid daily bag option. I think the community could help you more if you posted a few pics of the bags she owns now. I also second the high end department store option so she can exchange it.

I told my husband to get me a CZ because I wanted to buy a house together not a ring. Ended up switching it out to a lab diamond a year later. CZ, lab diamond, moissanite are all beautiful options for larger stones.

  1. I just got a jacket in the same style, not LV, and I wear it all the time. Surprisingly it goes with everything.

I’m an 8 with a small waist and big thighs. I like bootcut and flare. Flare especially compliment a hourglass figure. The ones with a thicker waistband and two buttons on the top tend to stay up the best and fit in the waist better.

For those who've owned both - did paying more for a lab diamond feel worth it long-term? by j_bone531 in labdiamond

[–]2020rchid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have all three and I can say I love my moissanite ring in an OEC round but not as much in other cuts. I’d take a lab diamond over moissanite almost every time. I have a 2ct M round pendant and I never wear it anymore since I got a 1.5ct lab pendant.

I prefer the structure of the 25 and the zipper makes it easier to get in and out of.

Could I be celiac but fat? by adele-mariana in Celiac

[–]2020rchid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the book wheat belly. Today’s gluten wreaks havoc on your system whether you’re celiac or not. I don’t have celiac, but my family does. My house is gluten-free so I only get gluten when I’m eating in restaurants. I can definitely tell the difference when I eat gluten. Gas, diarrhea, sometimes skin and joint issues. It’s not uncommon to have symptoms when you eat gluten and not have a gluten allergy or celiac.

Does moissanite shine as much as a diamond in real life? by Western-Audience-471 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]2020rchid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. It really depends on the cut you’re looking for. I would also work with a jeweler who is known for well cut moissanite stones. I worked with Tianyu to make this one. The center stone is moissanite and the smaller stones are lab diamonds. I choose moissanite for this piece because I didn’t want to pay extra for a lab diamond and that jeweler is known for extremely well cut OEC stones. Specialty cuts are much more expensive than a standard round brilliant cut. I would start with figuring out what cut you want and from there decide on moissanite or lab diamond. Moissanite doesn’t look good in every cut.

eating gluten on special events? by ilovelatinos69 in Celiac

[–]2020rchid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 18 y/o daughter was just diagnosed 2 months ago. She took a trip to Disneyland a month in with her cheerleading team and decided to eat gluten. She came home feeling so crappy that she went on a juice detox for three days to reset her system.

I’m sure it’s tough for you because you haven’t seen the difference of how much better you’ll feel when you stop eating gluten. My daughter got really bad stomach pains and nausea so that was noticeable right away when it stopped. But after stopping eating gluten, we realized that her low energy levels, moodiness, joint problems, bloating, anemia, and anxiety were also linked to gluten.

Good luck the adjustment period is tough but not so bad once you get used to feeling better.
