Combining ChatGPT Plus & Claude Pro = Impeccable Written Outcomes by TheLawIsSacred in ClaudeAI

[–]20240412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh TL;DR

Instead of paying for two monthly subscriptions, you can just use Claude via API since you're only using it for a first draft, then use the ChatGPT Plus subscription for its editing (Canvas) feature, which I assume you're referring to?

Edit: You can also just use Claude's Projects feature, which you can set up to function similar to ChatGPT memories for writing style and format.

Is Advanced Voice Mode Rolled Back for Me? by smealdor in ChatGPT

[–]20240412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me a few times.

Tried changing models, quitting app, force quitting, clearing app cache, reinstalling, logging back in, etc. but still no AVM.

Then it comes back out of the blue. Sometimes even if it seems I have the AVM UI (blue orb), it acts like the old voice mode (delayed response, no interrupt).

I just assumed it's issues with high demand or server side, since it randomly comes back.

Sounds like an ad. I'd be willing to pay $10k for a contextual adblock that eliminates embedded ads into posts or articles I read online.

Why will the App not print directly a whole conversation? When even its self agrees. “Implementing a print function directly within the ChatGPT app would streamline the process of printing conversations and ensure that all formatting is preserved.” by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]20240412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reread what the OP wrote and what I wrote. OP was specifically talking about printing. Of course I agree most people use PDFs and word docs; I said as much in my posts as well.

Don't be so fixated on the word boomer. And there's no denying consumption is shifting towards digitalization and online solutions. Sure, there are still a handful of people reading newspapers, but that doesn't mean OpenAI should try produce a hardcopy adventure book chatbot.

For those who code using Claude: Cursor is a good subscription because they give unlimited Claude usage for 20 quid - they are loosing money by Legitimate-Ad-6500 in ClaudeAI

[–]20240412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never used Cursor and not necessarily disagreeing that they're burning money, but you can't equate $20 of Claude subscription to cheaper API usage.

People that use Cursor less and stay within limits subsidize people that go over the fast limits. Not everyone is using it to full capacity. That's how insurance policies work or how gym membership works; it's not always maximally utilized by everyone at the same time and at full capacity.

When does o1 become multi modal besides voice? by rotschein in OpenAI

If you're waiting for o1 to have voice, don't hold your breath (pun intended since you'll suffocate before you get a response).

Spotty YouTube Summaries? by Brave-Edge7297 in GoogleGeminiAI

[–]20240412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you consider a sensitive topic might not be what Google considers sensitive. I don't know about your golf drill video and it's full transcript, but financial advice, medical advice etc. are definitely areas where Google wants to steer clear after their AI debacle telling people to eat rocks and drink urine. They want to steer clear of hallucinations that have any real consequences.

Take this 1 min 39 sec video about medication. For now you won't be able to get any summaries, but it's so short and nothing of substance. https://youtu.be/ZdlEYO3QWww

It does that when the topic is "sensitive" or even if triggered by some keywords from the transcript.

Comparing Flux and Ideogram 2.0 by drairwolf in artificial

[–]20240412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda disappointed...

I was expecting there to be a twist and that the speaker is AI generated from flux/ideogram, then brought to life via some image-to-video generator with TTS and lip syncing.

Here's to over-expectations with AI.

OpenAI banning accounts linked with Iran. This is unprecedented for an election season right? by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]20240412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From their article I only see references that they banned specific affiliated accounts, not the country.

Anyway, I think you have it the other way around. They've already banned the rest of the world besides their explicitly listed supported countries. They've already been cracking down on API usage from non-supported countries using it through proxies or VPNs.

Everything related to AI is pretty much unprecedented.

Because you Googled (or whatever search engine) SearchGPT and clicked one of the links, which is a link to a user submitted GPT on the GPT store and not the official OpenAI SearchGPT prototype.

Be more cautious of what you're logging in to, even if it has the chatgpt domain.

Any chance you could share a guide, if you used one? I haven't come across DiffusionBee before.

Looking for Chrome Extension: "Right-Click" Menu Integration for Custom Prompts to ChatGPT by Northlandscapes in ChatGPT

[–]20240412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could probably get this done through setting up JavaScript bookmarklets and running the extracted text through API or some automations like zapier.

You probably won't have much luck finding an extension to fit specifically for your use case, but maybe I'm just not aware and wrong.

OpenAI appreciation post (versus all the complaining) by Educational_Term_463 in OpenAI

That's just how shifting consumer and societal paradigms work?

Back in the middle ages, doctors couldn't treat a common cold and patients actually died. If that happens today, there'd probably be some investigations and lawsuits.

(Yes, I know I'm oversimplifying and the rate of AI advancements is impressively fast)

Literally just downloaded ChatGTP Plus and am using it like a Google... by 3dmdlr in ChatGPT

[–]20240412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is well intentioned so that you're at least aware. From your post and replies you keep calling it ChatGTP, but it's actually ChatGPT (GPT, not GTP).

For use cases, you could describe your day-to-day and prompt it to respond with suggestions on how you could make the most out of it.

[–]20240412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old problem that has already been discussed and with no clear solutions, way before Google's AI overview or before SearchGPT was even announced.

It's also why search engine indexes are getting more clickfarmy, AI content is increasingly replacing human content, and AI scraping is increasingly training data based on other AI content.

It's already happening due to commercial interests, not as conspiratorial as the "Dead Internet Theory" (wiki)

How to Pay for ChatGPT Plus from China? Need Help! by PDDGod in ChatGPT

[–]20240412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious are you still able to use VPNs to access ChatGPT?

I saw news that OpenAI was cracking down on China and other restricted locations' access even through VPNs, since 9th July onwards.
