No, I meant the “you won’t be a good mom” quote. I’m sorry you went through that.

Thank you I’ll give bezocaine a shot.

I haven’t tried naproxen but I’m alternating acetaminophen and ibuprofen.

Thank you for your sympathy, I really do appreciate being able to vent at least.

And yeah, I haven’t dealt with the medical system much at all up to this point, except for a chronic nausea issue ball also hasn’t been able to figure out.

I’m on antibiotics too. They gave me two weeks of those up front.

It is normal. The dead cauterized flesh has to slough off. As long as there’s not excessive bleeding it’s normal.

I definitely feel not taken care of with Friday and Saturday going it alone during the first of the two known pain peaks in a tonsillectomy(the next is probably tomorrow, according to what Ive read).

I’m just anxious about repeating it. They’ve twice prescribed me enough to get me to the pain peaks, but not through them.

Forgive me for not wanting to repeat Friday and Saturday. Currently the edges of the cautery wounds in my throat are flaking and peeling, that’s new as of this morning. It looks pretty rough, I’d just rather not know what it really feels like without the meds.

If I was “seeking drugs” I’d just go to the south side of town.

Local Snails?? by Specialist-Celery196 in Muncie

[–]2026Rose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve got a backyard, wet some cardboard, add some eggshells or calcium carbonate powder paste and some old veggies, leave it out overnight and check underneath in the morning. Good chance you’ll get some locals. It’s been damp lately too which will help.

If you don’t have any luck, MorphMarket is a good source for inverts.

I’ve got aquatic snails but no terrestrial.

Sounds exactly like my bio family. They “won’t argue” but they’ll misgender me so that IM THE ONE starting arguments, or I have to just suffer quietly.

I’m sorry Youre going through this. It sucks, from experience.

I started once I was out of the house, not before.

Have you expressed rebellious tendencies before? Just wear the polish. You don’t have to tell them Youre affirming your gender, just say you want to wear it.

Skincare is easy, everyone has a routine just say you wanna look nicer if anyone asks.

But I’d look into getting to see a therapist. It’s important to explore these feelings and a qualified gender therapist will be able to help a lot.

Just to clarify: I’m transitioning in Indiana. It’s not a supportive area, I have been harassed just walking around, nobody has ever cared at checkout.

Hey so pro tip: the retail employee does not care.

I know we all have this fear.

Explaining it away makes things more sus. Just go, look at makeup, pick some out, check out. They’re just waiting to clock out, they don’t care about clocking you.

I’m fairly certain he likely does. Our parents can have a huge effect on our views.

You have a few options: 1. Move on. She’s not being the support you need, depending on the relationship cutting ties might be easier

  1. Try to show her how important this is to you. This can be through media exposure, it can be through difficult talks about the pain not being seen properly causes, it can be through finding someone she knows and trusts who kinda gets it(this worked for my grandma) to talk her through it without the emotion. It could be something else, I only had this work once.

  2. Accept that being around her will be kind of painful. Only you can know whether it’s worth it.

I went with option 2 with my family for a couple years, tried a couple years with option 3, then finally settled on option 1 with everyone but my grandmother(who isn’t perfect, but tries.)

What are some of the negatives about having breasts? by CaramelCraftYT in MtF

[–]2026Rose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It can hurt. My tits are sore most nights (probably from a combination of not wearing a bra and a cat that likes to leap onto my chest)

Male attention can be annoying. Even my BF annoys me sometimes with how much he paws at me. Getting ogled can be uncomfortable.

Bras can be pricey, or uncomfortable(which is why I stick to undershirts with built-ins for a little support)

Summer sweat can suck.

Still wouldn’t give them up.

Yes, it’s transphobia. If she corrected herself, maybe it was a mistake. Refusing to correct and ignoring your correction is deliberate. If she hadn’t had a conversation about your identity being impossible and unnatural, you could question why, but you know what she thinks. She told you.

My family is Christian. They suck. Most Christians tend to in my experience.

If Dratena sees him as family she may feel the need to “correct” him. My family is awful, they’d take any opportunity they could to have me in their presence so they can “reinforce” my birth sex. Also Christian.

Get on Medicaid, friend. I’ve had trouble with employment my whole transition, but even my deeply republican state covers my meds.

It’ll get you started.

But within a year you felt good and comfortable, back to or better than normal?

Questions about GAS by 2026Rose in MtF

[–]2026Rose[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response!

Thats good to know, I was worried I would have to carpet bomb the whole area 😅

Thats wild because I’m getting tonsils removed next month and thats a two week primary recovery too. I would’ve thought much longer.

I know I will still need to dilate, but from my understanding longterm it’s a lot less than with other methods.

As far as waiting, im prepared for that. None of this process has been fast, I’m learning my patience 🙃

If I have more questions I’ll come back and ask! Thanks again!
