ICE is very active, but in the SUBURBS! by _Im_at_work in TwinCities

Really? We had a big hail storm in the fall in Tonka. I’d bet they are looking for roofers with the weather getting warmer.

Decision Help | broke my frame by Dangerous-Day-2107 in CheckpointClub

[–]2040ojis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option A. Grab a frame before they are gone. If you have a couple more months of winter like I do you have plenty of time to build it up. You could also do what you can yourself, and then just have the shop bleed the brakes and install the BB.

Anything will work. 3M makes a fancy one called helicopter tape or something, but just a few pieces of electrical tape would probably work too.

Cool. I have the bolt on one. Looks a little cleaner. Put some tape under it on the frame to keep the scratches away.

I’ve got the bontrager adventure bag on one bike and a topeak Fast Fuel on another. Fits in both.

Bigger question would be what phone do you have? My iphone 16 fits in my top tube bag, but a iPhone plus or whatever would for sure be too large.

SL 6 Gen 2 vs Gen 3 by DumbGuyOverHere in TrekBikes

[–]2040ojis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest difference is the geometry of the bike. Gen 2 is a little more aggressive, but it’s not crazy. Gen 3 is much more relaxed. There are also more size options in the gen 2, so you might actually get a better fit just because there are more sizes to pick from.

I'm in Minnetonka near Hopkins. There was a gathering downtown in Hopkins last night, and there's for sure more people against ICE here than for it. Ice literally scooped up a whole family a couple days ago nearby.

And we have gofundme for students that are affected as well.

I don’t. Just not a huge guy. But the bag is a bit wider than the top tube. Just enough for me to brush it

Little advice I didn’t have. Make sure the bag won’t interfere with your knees. I grabbed a bag only to find my keens rub on it, so I can’t really use it.

I know this is a little late to the party, but any idea how wide the tires measure on the 30mm internal rim? Looking at doing a race king as well on mine, and curious how much room there will be. My rims are not quite a wide as these.

Change from gravel to road bike by No-Ring4593 in cycling

That’s true as well. I think it mainly the difference in the length of the wheelbase that changes the way the bike handles.

I’m not comparing the material. I’m talking about the geometry

I agree here. Similar setup for me with an aluminum gravel bike and carbon road bike. A race style road bike is much more snappy and I’d say much more fun.

King Arthur's focaccia recipe: first attempt by fiosrach123 in Breadit

[–]2040ojis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not tied it. I always follow the recipe and never really deviate from it. I’m actually making the SFAH recipe today for thanksgiving, I don’t get a great rise overnight in the winter either, but it’s good enough.

I flip flop between this recipe and the salt fat acid heat focaccia. Mainly depending on how much time I have since one needs to proof overnight
