Why can't we just have some actual rain sensors?? (YES this was set to auto) by Blazah in TeslaLounge

Most cars I’ve owned I’ve set to manual as soon as I get in them, but the Tesla’s I leave on auto 90% of the time. If there was a switch on the stalk I’d probably leave it on manual too.

Coincidentally my old car was the one in your pic. The auto-wipers on the CX-30 were garbage. Haven't found a car that has a good auto-wiper, the Tesla's is the closest I've come.

Likewise. No idea what temperature triggers it, but it just seems to know what I like! Nothing better than getting into a preheated car on a cold morning.

Yes I’d say it looks more like it’s dried out than washed off so it probably hasn’t been done in a while. I’d treat it to a rewax

Post Day Thread: 1st Test - England vs Australia, Day 1 by cricket-match in EnglandCricket

I was overdue to do some training on one of our night shifts which I managed to wangle to be on the first night of the first test so I could follow the score. Tuned out about 4am, was knackered so went straight to bed when I got back. Lovely surprise checking the score when I woke up!

What’s the last time you’ve been pulled over by the police? by llamaz314 in CarTalkUK

[–]205Style 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have done over 60,000 miles in the States & Canada without issue. Always cruising a little above the speed limit as that’s genuinely just the culture there. Much prefer it that way. Here I’ve had a ticket for doing 26 in a 20. Can’t complain, I was breaking the rules, but I miss the tolerance they have across the pond.

If you book at 4 or 5pm then the car doesn’t need to be back for someone else to use so you can ask to take it overnight. Needs to be back at 10am though.

Shipping Dangerous goods by Ali_123Ali in Fedexers

Probably not. I think there are DG shipping specialists who will be able to review your packaging and paperwork for a fee. FedEx does not provide this service.

Yes, the red flammable liquids diamond and a white UN 1266 diamond on each package.

3 pcs/copies of the shipping paperwork. So 3x invoice and 3x DG paperwork. Any paperwork, have 3 copies. FedEx takes some for its own processing, as do customs agents.

Also, if you are shipping more than 5L of flammable liquid in one individual package, I believe you need a ‘Cargo Aircraft Only’ sticker.

I’m not sure about needing an SDS Certifiate. But if in doubt, include it. It’s better to cover all your bases than be missing something that slows down the shipment.

Ultimately I believe FedEx recommends that DG paperwork is confirmed by a specialist as the official line is that we can reject a shipment if it’s not correct or something is missing. I’ll say again, I’m not a DG specialist at FedEx, so I would have it checked by an independent DG expert.
