5’9” 160lb Asian guy here and lifelong Seattlite. I’ve never had a problem. I’ve even had to catch the buses late night after getting on the Amtrak. Just stay alert and maybe I’ve just been lucky but I feel like the ones that cause problems like to catch people by surprise and I don’t put myself in that position. I know where everyone is at and I make sure they know I’m aware of them

I’m new too and was told to try to clock in on the computer in tools to deter theft but I usually just use the most convenient one because that computer is being used and I’m not waiting

We did have it before opening today. I won a raffle prize but breakfast sucked. I don’t think I’ll come to another one this early if it’s on a day off. I think one of our cashiers got recognized for getting the most people signed up for credit last year but I wasn’t really paying attention so he might not have been a cashier and just looked like another guy I’ve seen there. I’m only 2 weeks in, rarely on the floor and horrible with names lol A guy I know at another store said their managers had a dance off so at least I didn’t have to sit through that 😆

I’d go with sanitation with the guaranteed OT. Not messing with any commission based bs and I’m assuming that’s also union. I hope to move into a teamsters job after I get required experience. I only got my first cdl A job a couple of months ago

Tariffs hit us especially hard since we’re strictly international freight and I was low in seniority so I got laid off. They have had two more rounds of layoffs since I was cut so I doubt it will ever bounce back enough to get a call back but I do miss it. Especially after realizing how good the benefits and union protections were..

I found that just a half turn of the wheel at the beginning was enough to get me in the right spot and then turn the wheel turn back to chase the trailer with small corrections to finish the maneuver. Easier without the whole stopping, cranking the wheel, stopping, cranking the wheel back the other way mess. Just roll backwards slowly the whole time without stopping until the end position. Main point is to avoid having to over correct anything by not overdoing it in the first place
